Lmfao oh the US gov appreciates your naivety.

They can know your daily life if they feel like taking an extra 5 min on your file.

Matter of facts, the foreign aid the US gives to countries around the world means they can know everything about you and what you did your whole life back home.

To sign a lease, you run a backgroun check with your SSN number. Most things are in your SSN number.

Trust me, thats how they know when people are lying. They do their work and they let you submit your paperwork and make you believe your providing evidence at the interview. You’d be sleeping if you think the US gov is letting you submit the only proof they have on you.

Everything you mentioned is known.

Matter of fact when I was engaged to my wife and came to visit her. The US customes asked me if I knew her last trip, I did and he was satisfied. Trust me they know. They know taxes, they know your bank accounts, they know your insurance, they know your trips, they know it all unless your doing something with zero papertrail. Even then they can see the void and suspect something.

This sounds like a paranoia to me. The extensive search is done only when your case ends up at investigation unit. If such search was meant to run for each and every person, proceeding time would be counting in years.

Question if you knew your wife during last visit is totally logical, you don't need to be investigated to be asked such logical question when entering the country.

Of course they have ability to search on you if there is a reason for this. But a basic search do not come up with results like when you go shopping etc.

No paranoia. My initial point is for people to take it easy on sending pounds on pounds of evidence, it’s unnecessary.

Again no paranoia because There is a difference between them knowing everything vs using it against you. Yes they do know about you more than you think, no, some info no matter how bad they cant just use against you because courts dont allow invasion of privacy, you’d have to be a bad apple (criminal/terrorist) before they go through the lengthy processes of using your info against you.

If youre straight you got nothing to fear, if not I wouldnt call it paranoia, Id call it legitimate fear

I have the same for status that send a case inquiry if you don't get anything by the 28th of March.

I have an infopass appointment coming up and my lawyer told me to not send any case inquiry and just ask in person since I'm going there anyway.

Based on recent progress we are seeing in here, I think updates are just around the corner. Good luck to all Oct'16 filers who haven't heard yet!

Yes - so shocked, only found out 2 days ago that my file had been 'received at local office February 26".

But not complaining!
Good luck and hope you get your approval soon!

Is this the CRI89 number or the other number?

The other number - The receipt number off your extension letter.
If it wasn't for Visa Journey I wouldn't have bothered to check the extension letter number, had just been following the CR89 number!!

I thought the emails are only sent every 2 weeks, also the email on 03/22 says lasr took action on Dec 14th which was a reply to inquiry my lawyer posted and todays email says last took action on March 1st. Anyone of you got updates like this?
