Thanks for sharing the links. They are really helpful.

So I had another change in status today. It now says that my case is received by local office on March 5. So something is surely happening.

I called them to know more. That lady was wierd. she first said that my file is in CSC. Then I told that i got case update that its been transfered to local office. So she then said yes it is. She further added that the local office will contact you if they need more documents or will set-up an interview. I dont know whats happening. In the meantime, I am planning to change state in next couple of weeks and I don't know should I transfer my address at this point or not.

Hi,

I think the the lady talked to you on the phone doesn't realize it was a bulk update that everybody got it. She assumes it's a transferring for RFE or interview.

We are not sure if it's a system glitch yet as some people were told either by USCIS or their field office their cases are still in CSC.

So just as a follow up, I have received a letter from my local service center and it just made me more confused.

Does that mean it will take another 18 to 24 months to be processed since the letter is from your local office?? I hope not. It just doesn't make sense whats really going on.

I'm just over it to be honest! the thing is when I called the USCIS to ask about it, the agent told me that my Local Office (Las Vegas) is looking at applications up to March 2017. I told her that if my application was transferred to the local office and it was in October 2016 then it should be taken care of as a priority. She mentioned she will input my questions and they will answer it within 4 weeks. After 1 week I receive this letter that doesn't respond to my question, and just gives me more confusing information...18 to 24 months??? from the date they receive my application in CSC or in the local office??? It's just crazy

It clearly says from "date of receipt".

There is nothing confusing about the wording on this letter. All they're trying to say is that right now, it takes about 18-24 months from date of receipt for a ROC application to be adjudicated.

The letter says: "On 02/27/2018", you or your representative contacted USCIS. This means that Forteleo87 or his/her representative filed a case inquiry.

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

I guess the letter is a generic letter anybody who filed case inquiry receives. What makes me feel confused is the answer you got from the person you talked on the phone. Does she mean local office is adjudicating I 751 instead of CSC? And your Las Vagas office is already reviewing Mar. 2017 applications?

Brigatebird, I agree with you. The answer I got from the agent in USCIS gave me specific dates that I was expecting to see in the letter, just for reference I have received the letter from the local office (Las Vegas)

Hi all,

Never posted on this site before, but I am a longtime watcher of this thread. NOA Oct 3rd, CSC filer. I am a divorce Waiver Filer. I got an RFE notification last night. This came just days after receiving the transfer notification that everyone thinks is a glitch. Just wanted to provide a glimmer of hope for the OCT -2016 fliers out there.

Sorry you received that. Good luck and please let us know the additional documents they require. I am a divorce waiver as well and I don't think I have anything additional that I can provide if they send me RFE.
