Hi! Congratulations! Quick question!

What type of envelopes your approval letter and green card were mailed?

In particular, does it says "do not forward" on it? I worry about my address change. Thank you

Approval letter came in a regular envelope with regular postage stamp.

GC came in a priority envelope.. see below pic the small size. The envelope is specifically made for USCIS bec it has a big window on the right side.. No signature required so the mail carrier left in the mail box.

No, the update that I saw that had Aug 31 as the "current as of" date had July 19th as the date they were working on. Maybe that's what they were correcting - they updated the "working date" but forgot to update the "current as of" date.

The last few months updates were:

Sept 18 (as of July 31) working on July 5 (16 days forward)

Oct 13 (as of Aug 31) working on July 19 (14 days forward)

Nov 10(ish) (as of Sept 31) working on Aug 3 (15 days forward)

Right, they didn't update it yet after Nov. 10. Fingers crossed for next update-it could be moved to Sept. as it's been over a month and half after the data which was as of 09/30.

I went and had my Infopass appointment last week in Colorado. I got the "stamp" in my passport...but it wasn't really what I was expecting. A stamp with embossed seal, but only a 3 month extension written in red pen. I am SO nervous about flying out of the US at Christmas...

Oh and the lady looked on the screen and said that it will be another 3 months until my greencard could arrive, and that I have to go back for ANOTHER stamp in my passport if it hasn't before this one expires. Her words were "they haven't even looked at your case yet."

Don't worry about the stamp. It's weird that they only gave you 3 months - usually they give 6 months or a year (how annoying that you may have to go back for another one... absolutely no respect for our time and inconvenience when these delays are their fault!) but that's just what they look like and anyone who's looking for proof of residency knows about them and what they look like. You'll have no problem at customs.

Hi, did you have an appointment to get a stamp? I tried to scheduled an appointment in Denver too but no luck. Do we really need to get an appointment first or can I just do walk in. By the way my extension letter date was 11/03/16. So, I’m thinking of getting a stamp. Thank you!

Thank you, you've eased my mind. Yeah, I questioned the lady about the 3 months and she just stared at me and said I could come back...sigh!

I went in the NYC office today, 12/08/2017, for an I-551 stamp. The stamp is valid for one year because the immigration officer saw that I had an RFE on my I-751. I did see someone before me get a stamp valid for three months. I think the validity is determined on a case-by-case basis. The officer wanted to know if I was still married, whether I was arrested, did I reply to the RFE, and when I had the biometrics done last. The biometrics are good for 15 months and I was well within that time. I was only asked for the passport and the extension letter, although some VJ members have reported handing over the green card.

The RFE was delivered 12/03/2017. Based on a similar case, the RFE took two months before the decision could be made. The case status has not changed from "Fees were waived..." Given the current processing times, I expect getting the N-400 biometrics done before the decision is made on my I-751.

Combed through all the threads to update the list. Added a "GC Received" column because I think we would want to know.

@dnp2014, congratulations on making it despite the three biometrics. I had some issues with biometrics too because of wet fingers but the ASC officers fixed those at the appointment itself.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Canada
Timeline

I just now realized I'd been following December filers, when in fact that is when I did my Biometrics. I actually filed in late October 2017.
So I guess I should be following this thread - I believe my file is at CSC. Ugh.

Had my info pass in October in Detroit and got my one year extension of my one year extension......

Any news on CSC files? The other day said they were working on Aug 3, 2016 - I just checked again and now it says July 27, 2016.
What a gong show.
