The document at this link is probably your best bet. It got me on board of airplanes twice now, should be good enough for the bank.

Hey Everyone, I happened to check my informed delivery today and noticed I have a package coming from USCIS In Kentucky. Needless to say I just checked the mail and my 10 yr green card was in it.

Thank you so much. The bank is refusing to close on my mortgage because of their ###-backward interpretation of the wording in the I-797. I hope this will convince them to move forward.

For future reference regarding the expiration dates of the conditional residents in our cohort:

 

As early as page 13 it clarifies that the document extends the card:
Expired Conditional Resident Card, Form I-551, accompanied by Notice of Action, Form I-797 indicating the card is extended

Page 38 makes this abundantly clear:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection
Part III
Notice of Action
A Conditional Resident with an expired Resident card (with a two-year expiration date) may be boarded if also in possession of a Notice of Action (Form I-797). The Notice of Action extends the validity of the card for a specified length of time, generally one year. The “Receipt Date” of the form has no effect on the validity of the card. A passport is not required.

 

That pretty much sums it up :)

Yeah you are absolutely right and your bank is totally wrong. The new extension letter states that your conditional green card is extended for 1 year from the expiration date of your green card. The extension letter issued few months ago is confusing but USCIS modified it for the new issued GC extension letters. If your bank has a problem with that I would suggest scheduling infopass appointment and stamp your passport with I-551 stamp which is mostly 1 year extension.  Legally you are a permanent resident with a pending ROC but some people are so ignorant and lacks knowledge of the law.

People who sent their forms to CSC (California) are having HUGE delays,  VSC (Vermont( filers are not much better off .  From my calculations California is processing cases around the 13 to 14 months and Vermont is  around 11 to 12 months.   Always subject to change as California was in the races, way ahead of Vermont last year and taking half the time.

Which bank .. is it for a mortgage ? 

 

If they don't accept the letter then go get a stamp

Congratulations!!!!  I am sure someone could add you to the list, but they would need more details,  ie when you mailed your application, where you mailed it too, your NOA1 and biometrics dates.

@phlute7 Congrats! Can you tell us the date of your letter of approval so folks can update the list? Also, was your letter signed by the local service director? Would you mind sharing his/her name and the city of the field office in their signature?

Hello Everyone! 

 

I'm so glad I found this topic and see that I'm not alone in this long and stressful process :)  I have added my case under CSV

For couple of weeks, I've been trying to get an infopass appointment at my local USICS field Office (Milwaukee, WI). No luck until this morning (at 5.30am) that I saw one opening on November 8th at 8am. First opening I've seen I started looking couple of weeks ago. Have anyone go to an infopass appointment to received the I-551 stamp? I've read that the USCIS office will only put a stamp if you have an expired GC and expired letter of extension (+1 year). Because it seems impossible to get an appointment, I wonder if I could go on Nov. 8th and ask for a case update (as I have seen here, the USCIS website doesn't provide more updates since the Receipt Notice 10/11/2016 ) and get a stamp to make sure I have something in the case the my I-751 process takes longer than the 1 year extension.

 

I don't know if this would help anyone, but St. Louis USCIS field office has LOTS of opening infopass spots in multiple days.

FIXING TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR IN MY 10 YEAR GREEN CARD

04/13/2018 - Submitted online service request about a typographical error on my Permanent Resident Card. 

04/26/2018 - CSC instructed me to send incorrect GC to the CIS Service Center with a request to expedite service due to Admin Error.

05/16/2018 - Received RECALL letter for wrong GC

05/18/2018 - Follow instructions in RECALL letter for people who already returned their GC to CIS. Instructions were to send an email to specific email address. Received answer on 05/26/2018 and mailed on 05/31/2018

06/25/2018 - Received SECOND GC with STILL WRONG DATE. I called the 800 phone number and instructed me to email uscisspecialcases

09/05/2018 - After following up my emails every 3 weeks, and FINALLY getting hold to my an agent, I was instructed to send the SECOND wrong card to CSC.

09/28/2018 - Received FINALLY my correct GC!✌️

Because it seems impossible to get an appointment, I wonder if I could go on Nov. 8th and ask for a case update (as I have seen here, the USCIS website doesn't provide more updates since the Receipt Notice 10/11/2016 ) and get a stamp to make sure I have something in the case the my I-751 process takes longer than the 1 year extension.

 

I don't know if this would help anyone, but St. Louis USCIS field office has LOTS of opening infopass spots in multiple days.

I don't know your dates for your NOA1 but you can go for an i55i around a month before the expiration of your extension letter. As for appointments they refresh around midnight, its hard to get one if look during the day.  I dont think you were looking at the wrong version. So to confirm yes you should be able to get an i55i stamp. As far as CSC well they are currently taking around 14 months to process applications. They have slowed down to the point they have  nearly stopped. Hopefully soon they will start to play catch up.
