So you never submitted joined monthly billing such as rent, utilities, phone etc?

I sent everything I had. Joint life/health insurance, joint bank accounts and highlighted payments, tax transcripts for 3 years. Gym, cc with me as an auth user, joint car purchase, new joint car purchase and car loan, photos, affidavits, flight tickets. 4 month joint lease. I sent over 1lb of papers. Our living situation was explained in our AOS paperwork which was approved without interview.

It's possible that you're just getting a random interview, which they definitely do for the I-751.   I think that would make sense given that no one else from October has heard anything.

Well...is it messed up that I'm encouraged by the fact that other people are in the same boat as we are?!  We were getting worried until I saw this forum.  We submitted my wife's I-751 application on Oct 15th.  Shortly thereafter we received a biometrics request, which we fulfilled in November.  We then moved to CA from Washington DC, had a lot of confusion by not being able to process a change of address on the site because the I-751 Receipt number changed to CRI-89 receipt number that was not linked to their Change of Address system online.  After multiple calls in early January, I think (hope) that situation was fixed.  However, it's now been close to 7 months from when we submitted our application and we have not received any notice.  The myUSCIS site remains in the same status message as before the biometrics request.

You sent all this and still got an interview? If you don't mind me asking, what was your filing status on tax returns (Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately or Single)?

Just to clarify...you said that you got approved for AOS without an interview? That may explain the interview despite all the evidence.

Good Luck

It is bizarre.

I supposed I have to go with the quota / randomly selected theory then. It's either that or my conspiracy theory - somebody with some kind of grudge against you contacted USCIS to inform them of a "fake" marriage. This happens frequently but it's usually confined to divorce waiver cases.

I sent in less evidence than you, although my package included a birth certificate of our son born to our marriage. I used to think that this was the ultimate "interview-proof" document but not anymore.

Best wishes once again. Something tells me you have nothing to worry about.

Correct. I did my biometrics back in December. It was an interview letter telling me everything they wanted me to bring. My husband and I have been discussing why we might have an interview, and now I'm feeling a little more rational and not in a blind panic attack, I think it was because of lack of evidence. His mum hasn't been in a good way for several years, and I'm the only one who works. He doesn't and it's been a source of tension in the past.

We sent two joint car purchases, a car loan in both our names, car insurance in both our names, gym membership in both our names and showing when we checked in together, life insurance, joint health insurance, joint bank account, credit card where I'm an authorized user, photos, affidavits, honeymoon flight tickets, a temporary lease from 2014 (after AOS was sent off so new evidence) when our house was damaged and we had temporary lodgings.

That said, we could not send joint utilities, or a joint lease. If authorised user doesn't count, we couldn't send a joint CC. We sent several letters clipped to the evidence explaining the whys so the adjudicator could see it. I'm guessing they didn't bother with an RFE because we had already said in the submission that we didn't have certain things and why, all throughout the packet. So they didn't bother asking for what they knew we don't have, and sent it straight to interview so we can discuss it in person. Still, not KNOWING gives me huge friggin' anxiety.

Firstly I wanted to wish you the best of luck with your interview this coming Wednesday.  Secondly, I know you are anxious, I suffer from terrible anxiety and I know how that feels, but I know you are going to be alright! You will be fine, you will probably be in and out.  Also, wanted to say that if you get an interview then my husband and I most certainly will. I am not on his mortgage for personal reasons. I don't drive here, so we don't have joint car insurance and I am on none of the utility bills. I don't work, I just cant put my name on something that I can't pay for and there are other circumstances that prevent me from doing so.  So we will get the inevitable interview and although I am so bad with my anxiety attacks the sooner the better for me. Any way good luck and let us know how it went.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

Thank you. I'll be sure to post my experience. The stress triggered a chain of events which has really messed me up. I've been hospitalised for several days now with an upper GI bleed. I hope you don't get an interview.

Hi. I am pretty sure everything will be okay. Praying for your health. One quick question did your online status change after receiving the interview notice? Thanks.

That's awful and I've no doubt i will get one without having any joint utilities or such together.  I actually am beginning to wonder if they know at bio-metrics as the person there kept saying I would get an interview when I kept saying it was over a year's wait. I guess time will tell, but I am also guessing the status doesnt change on the USCIS to  inform you that there is an interview?

Any way please take care of yourself, stress and anxiety is never a good thing.   Good luck!

Wishing you a speedy recovery and all the best with the interview. Based on the information you've given so far, I really don't see a reason why they'll give you a hard time.

It's OK to be a little nervous but think positive thoughts and see the interview as nothing more than an inconvenience.

I was approved :) I'll be writing up a field office review later.

It was a nice slightly older lady. She asked me "so I don't have to go through all this, can you tell me what date you got married?" "How did you two meet?" "Is that the first time you two met face to face? Oh I mean in person."

The way she asked was more like an informal chat than anything, with one question leading to another. Honestly, very few questions and she didn't really look at anything we brought. She asked if we had a ceremony or if we just got married in a court. I talked a little about the ceremony, who attended, where it was, that his family helped set it up. It really was just like a chat. I asked if she wanted copies of our photos and she said no.

She then asked if I had any other new evidence to submit. I provided new evidence, such as a new lease, power of attorneys. I told her my husband actually acted as my POA over the weekend when I was in hospital and she kept a photo of me in there. She also kept a copy of the pension I had in England showing my husband as my beneficiary before we even moved here or got married. I guess for the intent aspect.

Even writing this sounds a lot more formal than it actually was. It was less formal and much more pleasant than renewing my driving license at the DMV.

I am SO relieved. It didn't help that the couple before us were taken off separately for a Stokes by a scary looking military guy 😱.

She said I should expect my green card in the next 30 days and we had plenty of bona fide stuff and didn't need any more.

One thing yall might be interested in - I'm a CSC filer, but she said she would have to send it back to Vermont to process and mail out the GC.

So it sounds like some file transfers DID happen and mine was one of them.

I am SO happy for you!! Congrats!!  I knew you would be alright, but I also know you are a worrier like myself!   Glad you didn't get the "Stokes interview"!  Happy Days!!  I have been waiting half the day to hear from you, watching the clock.  Thanks for letting me know it is SO kind of you. Now you can get on with your life until Naturalisation if you are doing that!   One question, did they say why they called you for an interview in the first place? I find that a tad bizarre, you had joint everything other than bills and lease agreements.   I don't and wont have any of that not for a very long time and I do have my reasons for it, so if I go for an interview nothing will have changed with our bills.  Any way again Congratulations!!  So very happy for you both!!!
