Just took a look at November 2016 thread - seems like a lot of them have been scheduled for bio appointment for CSC. How come Oct is going so slow?

I got my NOA1 on 10/17, called to request for bio on 11/21, and still haven't heard anything back from them.

Called USCIS again today, the agent told me I have to wait at least 30 days for response. Is that normal. Last time the agent said to wait 15 days before call back.

Hey Everyone, I happened to check my informed delivery today and noticed I have a package coming from USCIS In Kentucky. Needless to say I just checked the mail and my 10 yr green card was in it.

Call and ask for your case number (it's sent with the bio letter). The agent I spoke to told me that if they don't have it within 45 days of your NOA1, they'll put you through to a tier 2 agent who can sort things out.

I did ask for my case #. The agent was not that friendly to begin with. She told me once the service request has been submitted, there is nothing else she could help me besides waiting. I also asked about Tier 2 agent. She told me there is no certain thing. :(

It took 15 days after the service request to get the bio letter (NOA1 was 10/7, service request 11/7). But I'm not sure it was the service request that caused it, it seems like lots of early October filers got theirs around when I did. It was for 12/9, did a walk-in yesterday since we'll be out of town next week.

I think 30 day limit for a service request is normal, that's what they told me when I first called. The tier 1 agents are a mixed bag, you can call back and hope for a better one if you really want to talk to a tier 2 agent. Or maybe wait a few more days and see if they do anything with the service request.

Hello everyone,

I have a question. My bio metrics appointment is done on Nov 15. I was just wondering, what actually happens after that. I did receive a letter saying that status is extended for another year, but my physical green card does have a expiry date as 01/10/2017. do they send a new green card with extended expiry date? and after one year from now, whats next?

Weird. I had send in my application with a fee waiver request. It was denied. I resend the application with the checks. They cashed them. Now, I'm checking online with my EAC number and it says that my fees were waived? What?! No it wasn't. And, they spelled my name wrong even though I had pointed it out when I send the application the second time. Now, I'm going to get my biometrics done today so I'll fix the name. But why would the website say my fees were waived, when it was denied. Anyone else experienced it?

AOS from F-1, maintaining status

August 2010 was introduced to each other during a visit in NY.
01/14/2012: Arrived at JFK with F-1 visa with the intention of studying for three years, and then do OPT. Intention was not to get married!
Yet, almost five semesters as a full-time international student later he proposed ...

04/07/2014: Married in Queens, NY

06/26/2014: I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131 and supporting documents sent to Chicago Lockbox via USPS Priority.

06/30/2014: USPS states delivery happened 6:50 am.

07/07/2014: Received NOA of I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765 dated 07/02. --- What a great 3-month anniversary gift!

07/15/2014: Received Biometrics appointment scheduled 07/31, in Long Island City.

07/31/2014: Biometrics done. Process took 45 minutes. 99% was waiting time. Awesome people working there. Good experience!

08/06/2014: Case i-485 updated to Testing & Interview on uscis.gov - - Yay!

08/29/2014: Updates on I-765, card in production as well as I-131.

09/04/2014: Update on I-485, interview scheduled for October 10th, 2014.
09/08/2014: Received combo-card. Went straight to Social Security office to get SSN.
09/15/2014: Received Social security card in mail.
10/10/2014: Interview at Long Island City. Took no more than 10 minutes. Was simple, normal questions. Was approved on spot.

ROC

10/07/2016: USPS stated I-751 was delivered. Also sent in fee waiver request.
10/19/2016: Got everything back, with denied fee waiver. They misspelled my name. Makes me wonder if they even read my application. My name is all over the papers.
10/25/2016: Sent in ROC (I-751) again, with USPS.

10/29/2016: I-751 delivered again.
11/2/2016: Checks cashed
12/16/2016: Biometrics done in LIC, Queens.

My status is also showing my fees were waived when they weren't. I called and they gave me the number for the billing department but all they could tell me was that they can't see my application at all unless I owed them money, which I don't, so they assumed it's a glitch. I'm not worried about it.

Has anyone heard anything after biometrics? My status online just shows it was last updated 10/7/16. 

Any idea how long it might take from here? So tired of waiting!

02.14.2014 - Day 00 - AOS package sent (I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131)

02.18.2014 - Day 06 - Package received at uscis

02.24.2014 - Day 12 - NOA received

02.27.2014 - Day 15 - Apt for biometrics received

03.13.2014 - Day 29 - Biometrics apt

03.18.2014 - Day 34 - I-485 case status changed to "testing and interview"

04.25.2014 - Day 72 - I-765 APPROVED! case status changed to "card production"

04.25.2014 - Day 72 - I-131 APPROVED! case status changed to "post decision activity"

04.30.2014 - Day 77 - Notification of EAD in the mail.

05.02.2014 - Day 79 - EAD in hand!

09.10.2014 - Day 210 - Received interview date, scheduled for 10.14.2014

10.14.2014 - Day 234 - Interview at Dallas TX USCIS office

10.15.2014 - Day 235 - I-485 & I-130 APPROVED! status changed to "card production"

10.20.2014 - Day 240 - Received approval letters for I-485 & I-130
