Oh ok. So does you DHS status still say they are processing your RFE or does it say they are scheduling your interview.

I went to see a lawyer today & showed him all my documents & RFE & he told me that if I dont hear back from uscis in 60 days i need to go back to him & retain him so he call inquire into my case. But he also told me that my file looks good.

So i guess I'm just have to keep waiting.

Have you contacted USCIS. They are suppose to give you a response to your RFE within 60 days.

Unless they have already advised you that your case is pending an interview. But you should definitely go see an attorney about your options. RFE submitted in Feb & now it's about to be Aug. That's so long.

My file was transferred to another location. I do not know where it is transferred to. I just sent a query to USCIS asking that which location my file is. Once I receive it, I will have more idea where my file it. Unfortunately my lawyer is not good. I asked other lawyers as well and all said that it is not worth to change a lawyer now. Once I receive something, I can change a lawyer. So I am in same boat. Just have to wait what USCIS has to say.

In April there was a news bulletin stating that everyone that had there case pending would receive an extension of their original BOA to extend the period from 12 to 18 months. Not if that would help us because we are already passed the 18 months.

No I didn't. But I already extended my NOA when the 12 months expired.

Have now a paper I-551 valid for another 12 months. So I am good until the end of the year.

It is an extension of the date on the conditional green card..

So in December 2017 when my conditional Green Card + 12 months extension was about to expire I made an Infopass appointment at my local office.

There I received a paper I-551 and was told when asked to show them together.

My paper I-551 is valid until December 2018, and the IO told me in case it expires to make a new appointment to extend the date once more.

Have not seen the 18 months extension letter and in my case (December 14th 2016 + 18 months = June 15th 2018) would not be helpful as that one would have expired before I received it.

Will go to my interview in about two weeks and will see what happens.

Hello everyone,

It has been more than 22 months since we started this process. If everyone has updated their timeline and the tracker, we still need 25% approvals from folks who had filed with CSC. I urge to those still waiting to go ahead and file the N-400 (Application for Naturalization) if you qualify. You can check if you are eligible to file here. Don't forget you also have the option of filing the N-400 ninety calendar days earlier than the completion of permanent residence requirement. I would strongly recommend to file the N-400 online to speed up the process. I filed the N-400 in December 2017 through mail and noticed that most online filers had their interview in about three months whereas the applicants who mailed in their applications had the interview in about eight months. When you file for the N-400 and get your interview, your pending I-751 file is quickly adjudicated. As always VJ has helpful guides, many members to share their experiences and answer your questions. Here is a link to FAQs about the N-400. Keep posting and here is the tracker in case anybody needs it 🙂:

Same. I used to update status and follow others in the September 2016 Filer thread but it appears it's gone.

Anyway, I routinely receive automated emails stating that they are still reviewing my wife's case. Our app was transferred to a local center out of the blue back in April and no update ever since. Wish I had some positive new to share with you.
