Optional? Actually a waste of time if you do get documents notarized. Nothing needs to be notarized.

Follow the instructions letter. If it doesn't ask for a document to be notarized then it isn't needed. Unless stated otherwise copies are always acceptable.

Okay i have a friend that has a k2 visa..and they are also filing for an AOS. do you have also a list of recquirements for k2 visa? Thanks

Same requirements. Info and links I gave you already. If the child is 13 or younger, include their I-485 with your filing for a reduced fee (page 5 of the instructions)
