Yes because I feel that since I was a student during the time, that should be reason enough for me not to file taxes.

What if I was strictly a student with no income living outside the U.S.

Explain to me how I would file taxes.

What you feel does not matter. You have been told that being a student does not excuse you from filing tax returns (especially when you have stated you had income from freelance work), but you still think it does. Why? Why are you refusing to accept answers to your questions? You are stubborn.

You have stated that you worked freelance and receive income in your Paypal account. YOU HAD INCOME.

There is no explaining to you. Report your income. Play games and suffer the consequences. You have been warned. This is not the PI. This is the US. You have one chance to make a case.

But you did have income. You already stated you worked freelancing and have the receipts on your PayPal account.

Learn about the IRS requirements, and ask them about filing back taxes for prior years you did not. > https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/foreign-earned-income-exclusion

Thank you that helps Kay.

Will check this out!

Update:

H&R Block will help me file and report but I have another question regarding my joint sponsor whom is my mother.

Since she is retired, will we use the 1099 R form instead of W2? I can't seem to locate any W2, only the 1040 and 1099 R.

Thanks again for your patience with me everyone lol.
