Ive seen advise NOT to send it before submitting the DS260. I dont think it would speed up the process. Chances are it would get lost before they actually get to ur DS260

If that's what they said, then I assume one of two things is really happening...

1) The representative does not really know and is just spouting what they think is happening.

-or-

2) "Supervisor review" does not mean a supervisor personally reviews it, rather it just means that it passes their 6-week benchmark and the supervisor reminds the processing employee of that fact. Or that a supervisor reviews ONLY those cases that pass the benchmark, and most cases are not passing the benchmark. Considering their backlog, passing each case directly through a supervisor would grind them to a halt; they simply can't have that many supervisors unless basically every employee is a supervisor. This would be similar to how several other federal agencies process workloads in the US, so I suspect it is likely, but I have no personal knowledge of the internal workings of the NVC.

I could always be wrong, however. If a couple of other representatives say it, or if mostly everyone starts ending up in supervisor review, then we'll know for sure that is indeed what they are doing.

Sounds like it's number 2. Though, I think I've seen others receive a checklist before there 6 weeks are up. Someone had to have looked at them.

I hope like JFH I get approved after 2 days on supervisor review.

But I hope to see your case complete when I come home. And hopefully also my interview date.

Hi friend i got the email today that my case is complete and its in the queue for interview . I am happy but super nervous . Does anyone know if we receive the interview date through the phone too. If so does the petitioner or the applicant gets the phone call?

We sent in the documents after paying the invoice, but before filling out the DS-260. When I called the NVC they said it would take like 2-3 days for them to "process" the payment before they would let us do the DS-260, so we just mailed it then without waiting. They received it basically the same day we filled out the DS-260 so that our "scan date" was essentially the next day.

It probably didn't save us that much time in the long run. We'll see. Scan date was 28th of September so 4 weeks today. Called them and they said "You're in the queue".

Unfortunately the applicant nor the petitioner will receive a phone call. You have two ways of finding out your interview date.

1. Wait until you see persons from your embassy start reporting that they got their interview date for December then applicant or petitioner call NVC.

2. Wait for the interview email (P4)

Good luck hope you get CC soon. My scan date was Sept 27 and now it's a little over 4 weeks so if you get CC then I'm hopeful to be next:)

Do you know reason for your RFE? I hope I don't get one but it's interesting you had a quick turnaround (2 weeks from original scan date) I am guessing maybe they have a high level check before they perform a final review of documents unless they just got to your file promptly.

i called to check the status of my case and the NVC told me i had an RFE due to not sending my husbands birth certificate in the proper format. funny thing is i received the RFE letter 3 weeks later. so calling is really beneficial. So in my opinion calling once a week was very helpful. and yes hopefully we get our CC soon.
