6 weeks today! Not getting my hopes high...

Timeline

I sent my packet together in one envelope and the scan date is 9/19/16 and I submitted my DS-261 on 9/27/16 I'm still waiting in at 4 weeks tomo from my "allow up to 6 weeks" they told me by November 5th I should be reviewd...fingers crossed! My I-130 took the full 6 months to get approved I hope my CC doesn't take forever ?

-July 2015- my cousin from Romania introduced us via facebook(he is from Romania, moved to Austria 5 years ago, my fam is from Romania)

-September 2015-first time meeting in person

-December 2015-went to meet his fam in Austria, got engaged

-February 12 2016-had my civil marriage in Austria, my parents went with me

-April 2016- went to spend my birthday with him in Austria/Romania

-September 2016- went to Romania together for one month

Timeline

That's correct. Original I-864 with wet signature to NVC. They send it to the embassy so no need to bring a copy with you.

That's if you are mailing the I-864. Some have the option of electronic processing and then the original would need to be taken to the interview.

Good luck! I called today and they said November 4th is my review date.

the NVC basically told me the same thing, the rep told me that my case will be reviewed before Nov 2nd which marks my six weeks.

Sept 21st. I did fill out the DS 260 before mailing in my documents. So it's 6 weeks from when they have everything.

the NVC basically told me the same thing, the rep told me that my case will be reviewed before Nov 2nd which marks my six weeks.

Ooh. Please keep us in the loop so we know when to expect something on our case.

JFH already posted which embassies have electronic processing. It is just faster and a more secure way of sending docs to NVC.

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
