Well we had case complete on October 20 but last night we got a checklist.

I was surprised by this because they are asking for the joint sponsor's tax transcript or Federal income tax return and W2. They have already had a tax return and a W2. I have contacted our joint sponsor and he is sending me the transcript now as well. The good things is they are letting me just bring that to interview. I don't have to send it back to the NVC and go through the whole process of waiting again.

You will be fine JFH. Did you got the message through email? I am also worried for the checklist. I haven't got any email yet.

Yes the email came overnight.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Hey guys, after sending the NVC package, i was wondering what are all the documents (ex: i-864, tax transcript...) that I need to send to my wife so that she can take them with her to the interview..?

Lol I learned that as a wife your role is to be their secretary as well.? mine was send me the signature part and i'll sign them.. NVC stage strengthen relationship I must say ?

Hahaha.. You're not alone. Just send the file so they could sign and that's all.

I suggest sending your wife everything you sent to NVC; that means original copies of the i-864 form and your financial documents.

NOA2 approval text & email: May 6, 2016 (71 days from NOA1)

I just got my PCC from Qatar. The thing is it wasn't put in my married name but as per the record of my stay which is in my maiden name. Do you think that would be a problem? Any idea if this would be the case. I had requested to have it AKA obviously it wasn't so.

I thought I-864 original had to be sent to nvc?

That's correct. Original I-864 with wet signature to NVC. They send it to the embassy so no need to bring a copy with you.
