Me and my fiance filed for our k1 viza and recieved our noa1 around september 1st and then got out noa2 September 30th. It has been more than 2 weeks and we are calling nvc constantly but they still have not recieved it. Does anybody know how long it usually takes? Thank you :)

I belive it shoud be as well because k1 does not have much to do with nvc. It s just fustrating trying to get some information when calling nvc and understanding the process! But thank you all very much :D wishing yoh all a fast process

I'm surprised at this because NVC doesn't handle citizenship and naturalisation. USCIS does that. And that's a different branch of government (department of homeland security vs department of state). I wouldn't have thought NVC staff had the required training or systems to provesss N-400s?

I'm wondering if there has been a flurry of mail for people hoping to emigrate in time for the holidays. Or maybe there had been a lot of sickness at the office?

Sorry should have clarified - there's a push for all in the queue for nvc that already reside USA so they would have gone through as I-485 or N-400s and applied for resident status since - so all permanent visa also go through nvc if that makes sense and can't vote without

May 5 - I-130 Received

June 17 - RFE Received

August 4 - NOA2
October 3 - USICIS sent to NVC
October 12 - NVC received (69 days in limbo)
? - case number assigned
? - AOS bill paid
? - call NVC to review DS-261 and get IV invoice unlocked
? - IV bill paid
? - submit DS-260
? - send IV/AOS package
? - scan date

? - cc

? - interview date

How long after submitting your documents to nvc does it normally take to get your interview date....???

It really depends how quick you got a Case Complete at NVC some waited shorter or 6 weeks or even more to get that CaseComplete. After that it still depends on which embassy it was suppose to go to whether its a busy one or not. So thats why it fairto say average is 2-4months on most case I believe

How long does it take for nvc review your financial documents

Like I said normal is 6 weeks but if you got a checklist it would be more than that. It took them 20 days for mine it was indeed a miracle. Since if you read on this forum mostly are still waiting beyond 6 weeks.

Gave NVC a call this morning (well, afternoon for me), would you believe, they already had a queue at 10 past 7 in the morning! Didn't take long to get through, though. He asked if I'd filed my DS-260 online and I said yes. He then put me on hold for a couple of minutes and just said "Well, we received your documents September 19th and it can take up to 6 weeks." I asked what the likelihood of getting a response before 6 weeks was, and if we'd probably get put through to supervisor review, to which he just replied "It can take up to 6 weeks" again...sooo....who knows. We shall see...

Tried calling them as well. After selecting the options the phone rang immediately! No wait at all - must be some sort of record. Anyway, 6 weeks coming up next Monday and still the same "it can take up to 6 weeks". Operator told me to call back on Tuesday if I do not hear from them.
