Have all paperwork ready so you can speed the process a little bit more.

Good luck!

I sent the AOS and IV packages today.

Praying for a fast processing time.

Agreed. We actually mailed our paperwork before we filled out the DS-260 (waiting for the fees to process which seems like it takes an unnecessarily long time, even after the money was out of my account). So once they "processed" the DS-260 our AOS/IV package had already been received. Helps speed things up.

Scan date of September 28th here, so patiently waiting since I know many others have been waiting longer with no updates yet.

Since things are getting fun now, I have some questions. Here is my AOS Checklist:

https://gyazo.com/230d892ce6cd7d5147ef87cea0effdb6

  • I have my IRS Tax Transcripts from the past three years - do I need the Federal Income Tax Returns and Form W2 still?
  • Evidence of income - is this just pay stubs, or is that a letter from my employer? Either/or? My boss is already ready to sign a letter for me, so that wouldn't be an issue at all.
  • What do they mean by Petitioner documents (fourth from the bottom)?

Thanks so much guys!

Just got off the phone with NVC rep. I made a note of her name. She said that all of my documents are in order and she was talking to herself saying "birth certificate...yes, got that...marriage certificate...yes, police certificate....yes, I can see that" like she was looking through my file. She said everything has been checked and they are just waiting for the package to be matched up with the DS-260 "and then you're all done" she said. She said that should be Monday but to wait till Friday just in case. In any event, she says I should have CC next week.

Let's see if that actually happens...

Transcripts are fine. No need to send the tax returns if you have transcripts. Mark tax returns as "not applicable" if you are sending transcripts.

Evidence of income is not required unless you feel it would help your case (for example, if you were very close to the required amount on your last tax return but you have since had a raise or a promotion - you might want to use evidence of income to show that you are now making more than on your last tax return). If you are comfortably over the minimum required as it is, no need for evidence of income.

Petitioner documents don't apply to spousal visas. These are only for parent/child or sibling cases. The checklist is a multi-purpose one that is sent for all visa categories so not all items are applicable to all cases.

No we had a case number. We mailed the documents after paying both fees, but before the DS-260 activated for us since that took like 3 days after paying the fees (despite me calling daily).
