Thanks for a fast reply! I already filled out the DS-261. The system won't let me pay the AOS fee for some reason. I click the "pay" button and nothing happens. Sound like a system glitch?

I Wonder how you were able to tell that USCIS Mailed Petition to NVC - July 27th 2016??

As other people have already mentioned, I checked on the USCIS website . Make sure to give NVC a call to check that they received it, as you won't be notified again until you get your new case number now.

Strange thing, but when we got our NOA2 I only knew because the USCIS app updated and I also checked on the USCIS website. My husband didn't appear to get any e-mails or texts, like we did with NOA1. We then got our hard copy about a week later.

Come to think of it, I don't think I did. That was probably why. I just assumed as my husband had already got a text when we got NOA1, that he would again when we got NOA2.

that's the same thing happened on us

we only see update from APP and website

no sign of email notification (we got both email and snail mail when NOA1)

then few weeks later we got snail mail directly

The text and/or email that we received for the NOA1 was because we filled up this G-1145 form when we submitted the petition. The form is only talking about the receipt notice which is the I-797C and not the I-797.

After this process we can all get jobs at USCIS... As we are well educated on the immigration process.

Just got off the phone with NVC. They still have not received the case file from Texas Service Center. Very frustrating!!!

What does your case say from the USCIS website? Have they sent your case already?

BTW, Wow! You got approved in 1 month!

It only says approved on Sept. 19th and no update since then. My NOA2 hard copy said my file was sent to NVC but that is probably some BS line they give you.

Yeas, that's their format but in reality they still haven't done anything to it (well, from our experience). It took them 1 month to forward our case to NVC. Like, after a month we received another text and email that our case was forwarded.
