You can either wait for the checklist which you will get or you can send those items with your case number on it and let nvc know.

You have to send your marriage certificate if applying for spouse and your birth only to prove you are us citizen

It is not a correct statement that you need to send the petitioner's birth certificate. The IV package is about the beneficiary, not the petitioner. The US Citizenship has been established when USCIS approved the I-130. The birth certificate is required for the beneficiary.

The US citizen thing is for aos. I sent mine just in case.

I got my welcome letter early this morning. I already paid the AOS fee and submitted the DS-261. I also just called and the operartor processed it over the phone.

I'm trying to speed up this process as much as possible. Can't wait to pay the IV fee and get the new police report from my husband to send the documents package to NVC.

I'm trusting God that we will be together before the end of the year.

Hahaha, It still gets me every time when the music stops and it goes back to the loop of the man saying that all of the lines are busy. I always jump and suddenly think someone's about to answer. I feel like it's too early for me to start calling, as it's only just been 2 weeks, but what exactly are you going to ask them? Just has somebody reviewed the documents yet?

Hi,

My question is does it change the status on the USCIS website for everyone that it was sent to the Department of State because I thought that some people didn't update it however NVC got it?

What is the soonest that anyone has seen NVC received your i-130 do we truly have to wait that 6 weeks

That's what others are saying that their case actually never changed from Approval so we cannot say for sure that all are having updates. Mine was Approved July 6 status changed on July 13th saying Case Sent. Called NVC a week later July 18 they have confirmed receipt. August 3 got my case number thru phone.

It all depends. My case was approved Aug 15 but was sent to NVC on Sept 1. It wasn't until Sept 23, and after many phona calls, that NVC said they has received my case. I just got my case number and my invoice ID number Oct 3. You just have to be ready for NVC processing so you can speed up the process as much as you can.

It does not change the status on the USCIS website for everyone. I checked with some people here on VJ. The soonest I have seen someone posted that NVC received their file was 4 days. When I call NVC, the status quo is that "it can take up to 6 weeks to receive the file from USCIS". I have noticed on VJ many people show NVC received their file 2-3 weeks after I-130 approval by USCIS.
