JFH, no I converted the Spanish to US EST, so, though I checked at 10:30 PM (yesterday) and again the next day 6:30 AM (today) Spanish time, that translates to 4:30 PM US EST and 12:30 AM US EST.

What I thought was interesting was that from what I understood, the NVC people (the ones who ACTUALLY make decisions, not the ones who just answer the phone) work 8 AM to 5 PM M-F. So for me to see 2 N/As at 4:30 PM, and then the 3 N/As at 12:30 AM was pretty surprising. Unless whoever decided the case was complete did it just before he left work at 5 PM.

Anyway I am happy.

Thank you. Very helpful. It confirms what I was thinking. I saw someone else (in the USA on the same time zone as NVC) report that he checked before he went to bed just before midnight but by next morning when he woke it had changed. I wonder if they approve the cases during the day and don't update the system right away but they all update overnight on an automated programme or something? Perhaps it's to stop people calling as soon as they see the 3 n/a?

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

I guess they have a programmed system coz when I woke up around 7 AM Kuwait time our IV was still at zero then an hour later (1 AM EST when I checked) we received our invoice and when I went to the website there we saw the 325 bill.

Quick Question to you guys that were Approved !

What does your case Status on USCIS say?

Mine says approved. But the NVC says they haven't received my case and it's past the 6 weeks. They told me they would be in contact with USCIS about the location petition. I called USCIS and they gave me a completely different timeline of when my petition is supposed to go to the NVC.

2 months for us and our status was finally changed to sent to department. I've read somewhere they don't always update but the reality is they've lost it if it hasn't updated!

May 5 - I-130 Received

June 17 - RFE Received

August 4 - NOA2
October 3 - USICIS sent to NVC
October 12 - NVC received (69 days in limbo)
? - case number assigned
? - AOS bill paid
? - call NVC to review DS-261 and get IV invoice unlocked
? - IV bill paid
? - submit DS-260
? - send IV/AOS package
? - scan date

? - cc

? - interview date

I'm also thinking they've lost it, because the USCIS rep didn't really give me an answer of when it was supposed to go to NVC, just "it takes 5 months for it to go to the next step." Like, why? My petition was approved, what's this 5 months BS?

You should get that update, but you won't get any others after that. I received both a text and update on the app when it was sent to the NVC.

I checked with several others here on VJ and none of them received an updated status from USCIS. But received a case number when they called NVC. So everyone does not receive an update from USCIS.

My case updated on the app all the time. It looks like I was a minority with my frequent updates.
