Timeline

Our petition was approved August 4, October 3 they send to NVC and October 12 NVC just confirmed received (69 days in limbo) - so now to wait the 2 weeks to get numbers etc :)

However, I found out that the batch that ours was done by, although we were approved August 4, that person put everything in a pile and didn't send anything to NVC until all of May 6 files were approved or rejected! I tell you it would have been kinder to not update us and let us think they were still working on it. I get that whoever was being fair to everyone's that arrived on that day BUT argh!!!! Calling Tier 2 they told us it got sent to wrong department - so I think someone else suggested Tier 2 waste of time?

Onwards and upwards and hit me with your best and quickest solutions to help me get back some of the lost 69 days please?

OMG! I thought your case was already sent to the NVC before ours was sent Mandb since you were approved few days ahead of us! 31 days of waiting sucks how much more the 69 days.

Hello there everybody,

I just don't understand this NVC anymore. I heard it was suppose to be like you going downhill once you got at this level, but its actually feels like we are climbing high hills here. I am so frustrated and losing hope for them holding on our documents closer to 2 months already. I miss my hubby but this people are just busy approving (God knows what):cry:

Thanks.

Did you have the DS-261 reviewed over the phone? If not then call to have them review it. By doing that it will unlocks the IV.

I think it depends. With ours, status just changed this afternoon to "Ready" then few minutes later we received an email on my appointment. They scheduled it 2 weeks from now.

Quick question. Is it better to send all documents in one envelope with the same cover sheet or send two envelopes in one package with two different cover sheets? Please let me know. I want to send this tomorrow. Thanks!

FINALLY!!! Now for NVC phase. We should call it a soap opera and name it "As the Stomach turns".

Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On October 11, 2016, we sent your case, Receipt Number SRCXXXXXXX, to the Department of State for visa processing.

No email or text yet, if ever. I had to check the website.
