My husband is APPROVED!! Thank you all so much for your advice/instructions. Because of the tips I received here on VJ my husband's interview went so smoothly that it didn't even seem like an interview, according to him. They barely asked any questions. It was more like a conversation.

I'm absolutely ecstatic, and I can't wait for me and my son to reunite with my husband.

I just got my PCC from Qatar. The thing is it wasn't put in my married name but as per the record of my stay which is in my maiden name. Do you think that would be a problem? Any idea if this would be the case. I had requested to have it AKA obviously it wasn't so

My German police certificate is in my maiden name because I left there before I married. My UK one lists all names. It wasn't a problem for me at NVC. They can see from the DS-260 the dates you lived there and they will see the date of your marriage so it all makes sense.

You are absolutely correct.. I guess thats how they suppose to work.. but in my case i dont know why it was diffrent. NVC said Delhi embassy only accept expedite cases when they have all papers and fees paid in to NVC Means i still had to wait for CC.. this was the email i recived from NVC

"The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case when we have all the fees, forms, and documents. If you have not already done so, you can pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at ceac.state.gov. Please send everything else to this address:"

So i got my CC on 17.10.16 and my file left NVC same day for Delhi. Right now my status is showing "ready" from friday.i mean i find it wierd because whats the point of expedite when i had to wait this long for CC. But yeah thats NVC..

I know that's why it feels weird, like what's the purpose of accepting the request if you will still have to wait for the CC and what if there's a checklist which happened to you? Couldn't they just let you bring that missing paper? It's kinda depressing but then there's this single word that could mean anything/everything, "willing". I hope you hear from your Embassy very soon though. Here in Kuwait if you send them an email they always reply within 2 days max.

Congrats and thank God everything went well with the sputum tests. That's a great Christmas gift.

I guess it should be fine sis coz they will issue the police clearance based on their records of your residency. Mine is in the same situation since everything here is connected to our Civil ID number which I still didn't get the chance to change since I first need to change my passport.
