When are we likely to start hearing about interview dates? I'm trying to see from past cases at the London embassy how long they waited for the interview date to be advised but most London cases are DCF and there are very few NVC cases.

Oh not those kind of plans. Just want to know the date so I can make a hotel reservation and buy tickets to London. From what I'm seeing, London doesn't have much of a wait for interviews.

Interviewing scheduling starts next week for most consulates.

Even though I've requested an expedite, I still have to wait for that appointment from the consulate.

Ok, called to confirm that my case was also completed and yes it was! FINALLY!

Anyways, asked about the next steps and the info was kind of vague. To my understanding NVC will reach out to the local embassy (in our case Finland) to set up an interview date. Those embassies have x-amount of slots per month to fill with these interviews and when one month is filled up it goes to the next and so forth. So I'm guessing how fast you can get an interview is highly dependant on how much immigration cases there is from that country. I do not however know, how long it will actually take for NVC to reach out to the local embassy. When do you think we will start hearing? And when do we even get the confirmation e-mail? Also, will they be shipping the photocopy-documents overseas even though originals are requested to be taken to the interview. Seems kind of odd. (and another place where more time could be wasted - just shipping could take 2 weeks...).

Hope someone could provide insight. This is all I have for now.

But again. CONGRATS to all for getting this far! Just a little push and we are there!

They start allocating the interview appointments from next week. We got case complete right at a good time! The embassies all provide NVC with their list of appointment slots and the NVC fill them accordingly. I would hope it's a "first come, first served" process in that those who had case complete first will be allocated appointments first but who knows in this game!

The packages are couriered to the embassies and it only takes a few days. The embassy staff need to have the documents before the interview to read through everything to make their decision on the case. The decision to grant/deny the visa is almost always made before the applicant even arrives at the embassy for the interview. When we go to the appointment with our documents, that's not the first time they see them.

Sounds logical. Otherwise, the interview would be more of them reading through the material than anything else.

How do you know that next week is allocation week? That does sound awesome, though! I am sure it is a first come first serve type of thing. That would be the easiest way to go about it for them (so I'm sure that is exactly what they do just because of that).

Would love to know how quick / how far away the interviews land if said embassy is not particularly busy.

People who have gone before us in this process have had their interviews allocated in the last week of each month and the first week of the following month. Seems to be the way NVC works.

You can have a look at other timelines from your embassy on here and see how long the gap was between case complete and interview date. I have been studying the London ones and they are usually interviewed within 60 days of case complete.

I can't imagine the Finnish embassy is very busy? But it's probably a small embassy.

Hey, guys! How do I count current individual income? Do I count that as expected income this year (hubby went to school for 4 month) or do I claim it as a years income that he had to get?

And is there anything to show at the embassy instead of employment letter? Hubby has some pay stubs for a few month but it's printed out. He's a policeman.. is a letter from someone above with the rank counts, say sergeant? I'm so out of ideas and we have just a few days left ???

Please HELP ???

Anyone have experience with expedite cases..? Well my case is already in transit to new delhi because i had an expedite approved in August due to ny wife health. When i called nvc for interview date all they said i need to wait for an email from my country embassy as they have no control over my case.. anyone know the next step..?

Hi! You said that your expedite request was approved last August, right? How is it that you still waited for the CC? As far as I know and understood as soon as your expedite request is being approved they will right away send your case to the Consulate your case is assigned to and from there NVC will have no control over your case and if ever they require more documents then those should be brought with you during the interview.

As with our case, as soon as NVC sent us an email that the request was accepted they then right away sent our case then few days later as soon as the status online showed that our case was "Ready" we then received an email from the embassy on my interview schedule and the documents they require from us since we were not able to send NVC anything both AOS and IV. Interview was scheduled 2 weeks from that day. From that day I have to schedule my medical and now I'm just waiting for Wednesday, crossing my fingers and all in panic mood.
