Hi guys!

I (non-USC) have booked an interview with the US London Embassy for a CR1 visa in early November.

We have all documents ready but the I-864. It is becoming quite tricky to fill it out. Need some advice if possible!

1. My wife (the USC) is filling a I-864 (as the petitioner's sponsor). She has only worked for one year (2015) in the UK; before this she was a full time student (in the UK as well). She was not aware that she had to file taxes with IRS. She is back-tracking her taxes for 2015 at the moment.

How long does it take to request and receive an IRS transcript of taxes, once its submitted electronically? Her income was less than $100,800 - below the foreign earned income exclusion.

2. My father in law (USC) will be my joint sponsor. He is also filing a I-864. He has a an extension for submitting his tax returns (October 17th 2016). He wont be able to submit his taxes until that the last few days before his deadline.

If the IRS takes several weeks to process his taxes. Will it be okay to provide the 2012, 2013, 2014 IRS transcripts, and the approved extension letter for 2015?

Thanks in advance!
