I bet ya'll weren't surprised that I disappeared for a few days!

First of all, he and I both say thank you to all of the people who helped us along this process... for all the advice, the patience, etc. The whole process was made so much simpler with all the help from you guys. :)

We found an apartment! A family friend that was helping me look for apartments actually ended up having one for rent... she wasn't gonna rent it out because she only wants to rent to people she knows. So she's renting to us! During my April 4th - 16th time off from work we'll be moving in, and also I'll be driving him to interviews hoping to get him a job on his purdy little temp EAD. :D

I wouldn't say it's as though our 15 months apart never happened... it feels almost like a big hole in the history of our relationship. We look back at the fights we had and we just can't believe we said those horrible things to each other. We've already had a fight and it was so much different, much more manageable and it was easier to work through. It wasn't nearly as brutal and never-ending as the long distance fights we had.

I'm much more comfy with the idea of getting married now, and we've agreed to go ring shopping this weekend. I've decided to change my last name, hyphenating Myname-Hisname... which is funny because I was so adament about not changing my last name before he moved here. Like ya'll said, and I knew it too - I just didn't want to admit it, once we'd settled in we both knew what we wanted. All we have left to figure out is what we want in the civil marriage/reception and to set a date. :)

Anyway, I'll stop rambling as I have a fiance to tend to and a plug converter to go out to buy. :) Thanks again guys, and for those of you still waiting - the wait is worth it.

Congrats.

We filed within days of each other and will be married within a week of each other. I do like that nice calm feeling that comes after such a hectic Journey, especially with a wedding day in sight.

Congratulations on your reunion. I'm sure you will continue to settle in to being together now. What better way to sart your relationship anew than moving into a new place and getting to decide where everything goes -together-.

Good Luck in your upcoming AOS, I hope things are smooth and simple for you both.

Cheers

Sue

It's good to hear that things settled down. No surprise that you disapeared and no surprise that it's all better. When there is love, it's always better when you don't have a sattelite between you ;)

It's good to hear that things are working out as far as the appartment is concerned. I guess sometimes you just have to wait for the right things to happen. And you know the owner, so no surprise like the other one.

Congratulations and have a beautiful wedding, and like St Clair said: 'live happily ever after' :D
