Well isn't that the question of the hour HA. I'm not sure. He's not sure. But he said he's on track to finishing this year still. I think honestly he has an idea but because every time he tells me he's done they change the date so I think he's waiting to tell me until it's for real this time. So in the meantime I'm doing all the research that needs to be done before we file.

Welcome jdweaze!

We just started our visa process and are US/ UK filers. I'm a US citizen and my fiancé is British military as well(Navy). We decided to do the K-1 because it def seemed the best and fastest route( from what we saw. Our approval( NOA 2) took less than two months but we are also waiting on him to get discharge paperwork . There doesn't seem to be a problem with applying as military as long as u have the paperwork and all your stuff filed correctly. :)

You must enter the US unmarried and marry inside the US . Otherwise get married cancel the K1 ( which is for unmarried people to enter the US ) and start the CR1

@NigeriaorBust I love your sig.... so true.

jdweaze, welcome to VJ! Every thing you need to know is here; do searches and read till your eyes are sore lol. Be warned, though, that just because the K1 may be "fast" now, does not guarantee you can plan for a December wedding ;) It is a rough wait, but if you dot every "i" and follow all the guidelines here, you'll be just fine! Good luck on your journey.
