His proposed ban has gone thru a few iterations over time, but the latest seems to be something along the lines of.. extreme scrutiny of immigrants from certain problem areas. Going by recent incidents of bad guys with links to Pakistan, the country may be one of them.

Everyone, relax about the "all Muslims" ban. It's just a campaign promise that won't go anywhere. Firstly, it's unconstitutional (freedom of religion) and secondly, how do you ban someone by religion? Make everyone entering the US take mandatory religion tests? Interrogate every single person entering the US about their religion? Create some kind of mind reading device that will determine if someone is a Muslim by scanning their brain?

Or ban a ginormous swath of countries (including US ally Saudi Arabia) from entering the US at all, ever, just because they have majority Muslim populations? Not to mention the actual US citizens who are Muslims....the logistics of such a ban are absurd once you start actually spelling it out in detail.

I understand your anger, but Trump simply wouldn't get something that insane through Congress or the Supreme Court. Let's hope the country still functions with its checks and balances of the president's power. Trump says a lot of things simply to get reactions out of people....this was clearly one of them.

Trump never had a decent word to say about any1. He always thought he was the greatest thing to happen to the world, for some reason or the other. :angry: He talked smack about women, he spewed bigotry, racism and self-sacrifice for erecting Trump Towers. He built an empire and hired immigrants to work for him....now, he's talking smack about the same immigrants and calling them names like rapists, murderers, etc. How can people actually vote for him to run America? There would be no hope for persons under the upper-class regime, persons wanting visas to visit/live in USA will have a MUCH harder time to do so....and it is already a tough process in MENA countries. I know some people cheat the system and come to America to create havoc/war/bombings/terrorist acts but he cannot group every1 into the same pool.

Hillary made some very good points in the debate and she has a more solid footing in politics than Trump. Yes, she may have issues against her but who in politics has a CLEAN carfax? :goofy:

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.
