As some of you may know, we got some RFE's on our AOS application a few days ago and we are about to send them back. Some was for 2007 tax returns of my mother in laws, but some were regarding my wife. They wanted her tax returns, or an explanation as to why she didnt file, and they also mentioned taxes in reference us listing her as self employed.

Well, my wife is still in school (but graduates this semester ^_^) and her self employment is to give a horse riding lesson on the weekend (used to be more but we had to cut back)....So, here is the statement we did for her, do you guys think it should suffice?

To whom it may concern,

Re: Request for Initial Evidence (I-485) of case number MSC***********

I, ******** ******** ****** (formerly ******) have been requested to provide Tax Returns for the most recent tax year, or a statement in place thereof, this is that statement.

I am finishing up my final semester at Georgia State University, and therefore have no full time employment. I have been able to finance my studies through a combination of student loans, government grants and giving horse riding lessons on the weekend. This form of self employment brings about a small amount of money, approximately $1800 per year, which is well below the quoted $8,450 minimum filing requirement in publication 501 of the IRS website.

In addition to this I enclose a statement from Mrs *****, who is the mother of the child I give horse riding lessons to, in this she confirms what she employs me to do and how much she pays me.

Sincerely,

******** *********** *******

Does that seem ok?

Of course we have the lady's statement to go with it.

Scott.
