Do anyone know how long it takes on average for the NVC to receive a case?? My Case has been approved on the 24 August, 2016, when I called the NVC, the staff there informed that the case usually take 6 weeks to get to them. I'm just wondering if everyone receive their NVC packet in 6 weeks worth of time or is it shorter amount of time then that??

Have you gotten notice from the USCIS that they have sent your case to the NVC? They should update you status when they have mailed off your paperwork. Mine was approved on August 30 and got notice last week that they had sent it to the NVC.

Yes, I have received an I-797 that tells me they will forward the case to NVC in Portsmouth NH. Should that be it?

Call back in a week and by then they will probably have your case number. By the way, once you have your case number, you can track it on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Choose 'Immigrant Visa' (even though the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa).... I kept choosing non-immigrant visa and it didn't find my case number until I tried Immigrant visa!

Good luck!

I've been wondering about that too. I thought USCIS sent a separate email or updated the status after receiving NOA2.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

Thank you everyone. I just checked the USCIS website today, and they have just forwarded my case today, i.e. mailed it out. So I believe I will be receiving my NVC packet some when by the end.
