My wife is sponsoring my citizenship. We are also filing a --765 application so that I have work authorization.

My questions are:

1] When do I get it?

2] Can I start to work a job as soon as I get it?

3] Does it have any limitations?

4] If I get let go from my current job, can I file for unemployment?

5] How long is the work authorization valid (till I get my green card I am thinking)

Thanks in advance for your replies and help..

I think you are confused. No one sponsors citizenship. You seem to be talking about a Greencard. A Greencard is NOT citizenship.

If you are filing for a Greencard from within the USA you can apply for an employment document. It will be approved in 90 days or so. It is valid for a year or until you get your Greencard and yes to your other questions.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
