The time taken in my case was around one and half mnths for the packet 3 and a mnth and 10 days fr the packet 4.

calling the help line is futile...

but they did reply over email to my query.

i hope you have the right email address with you.

MUMBAIIV@state.gov...this is the one.

Though i came to the US on K1, i guess the process at that stage is almost similar for both K 1 and K3...

i hope the information could be of some help to you..

all the best..

Its faster to do this to schedule your interview:

1. Download packet 3 from Mumbai's site

2. Follow instructions

3. Send them confirmation via snail-mail that you have all docs and they should schedule your interview

4. They will then send you packet 4 and instructions and interview date

5. Corresspond with them via email - they take about 3 or 4 business days to respond, but they do respond

Good luck
