Status Won't Change From Ready to Issued

It was guangzhou consulate's request for additional documents form. Akin to a 221g I guess. They should be done with it judging by the ready status but who knows.

I've been in "ready" status for like 3 weeks and I was told I was approved at the interview. I wouldn't read too deeply into it being "ready". You want to wait for it to say "Issued". I'm waiting in "ready" too, and I know its really difficult waiting.

Ours went to Issued yesterday at about 0830 central time. Sorry you're having to wait so long man. Have you contacted them yet?

I'm certainly glad to hear yours went through. Congratulations!! I know how hard it is to wait and am sincerely happy for you I have tried to contact them but am waiting for a response.

Okay this is weird... the "Ready" status did not change, BUT the status update date changed from my interview date to today's date. Does that mean anything? I was told I was approved at the interview and a 221(g) was not required.

All I can say is that when my fiancee's status changed to ready the creation date changed on the same day. That, in turn, is supposed to be a good sign that issued is around the corner. So, take it for what you will, a layman's opinion!

BTW, are you British, perhaps a philosopher? Economist?

Does CEAC update on weekends at all?

Unknown to me. However, it could be possible as a decision made in China was updated at about 930 pm China time. That could also be due to a final decision being made stateside but that is also unknown to me. Search VJ and see what ya come up with?
