Time until interview once NVC financial documents sent

Hi there,

My wife (us citizen) has just sent the supporting documents and financial documents as required to NVC. Does anybody have any idea on the timescale for this? and how long it usually takes to go through (they say up to 6 weeks to approve the paperwork) then I will have to wait for the interview date and have the medical at the embassy in London, UK.

Also my wifes brother is getting married in a couple of weeks, is it advisable for me to visit there for a week for the wedding? If I take all of the supporting documentation with me saying I am waiting for an interview date in London.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
