Post Interview: Status still says ready for interview?

Hi there,

Maybe I'm acting too hastily, however I had my interview this morning in Montreal and it was approved, got the letter saying "Welcome to the US" and that it will take within two weeks for receiving the visa.

Anyways, when I check the status website, it still says "Ready" and "You are ready to schedule an interview", although the letter I've received from the Consulate following the interview contradicts that message, explicitly saying "Do NOT make any additional interview appointments".

The status website does say that the last time it was updated is today, however.

Is this normal?

No worries, happens all the time. Even after your status goes into AP it might switch back to Ready again before finally switching to ''Issued''. Mine went back and forth, back and forth before finally saying Issued.

Oh, good! Whew I was worried they might have forgotten about me immediately following the interview.

Well, the status shows it updated today, but it's still as "Ready". That's okay though, I'm just glad that they're "touching" the case!

Did it change from Immigrant Visa to Nonimmigrant Visa?
