I want to share my timeline for my J1 waiver process under No objection statement

Timeline:

May 11 ---- All documents sent

May 20 ---- Package was delivered

May 24 ---- J1 Waiver cashed the cashier check for the process fee

May 27 ---- No Objection letter sent from Mexico's consulate

June 20 --- E-maill from J1- Waiver "THERE IS NO RECORD OF HAVING RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION"

July 12 ---- No status on webpage

July 13 ---- J1 Waiver respond "PLEASE REDO OR RESEND APPLICATION PACKAGE. REMEMBER TO CANCEL CHECK FROM THE FIRST PACKAGE AND SEND A NEW PAYMENT FOR THE PROCESSING FEE"

July 14 ---- Resent package

July 15 ---- Package was delivered

July 19 ---J1 Waiver visa specialist sent an e-mail: "WE HAVE NOT LOCATED YOUR WAIVER PACKAGE AS OF YET. YOUR PACKAGE MUST FIRST GO THROUGH PROCESSING AT THE WAVIER DEPARTMENT IN ST. LOUIS, BEFORE BEING SENT TO WASHINGTON, DC. FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE PROCESS. ONCE IN WASHINGTON, DC, THE INFORMATION WILL BE ENTER ONTO THE SYSTEM SO YOU CAN CHECK THE STATUS. . are you still on J1 visa I mean if your visa not expired you can travel because if not expired you have still grace period 30 days but i don't know your situation Im going to apply for AOS so what i know is I can't travel during the AOS process but of course i might be just saying bullshit too lol

congrats looks like after they received favorable recommendation letter they approved a month later. My favorable recommendation they received on 31 august but still no update since.. so worry about if they denied its been 2 months this week

  I need to obtain my no objection letter but I do not know where to obtain it, is it from the local consulate (I am in El Paso area) or does it have to come from the Mexican Embassy in Washington?

Hello, the no objection letter you need to got it from mexico (the conditional country where you got your scholarship). In my case the government was providing me a scholarship that's why I had my J1 Visa. When they "release" you they give you the no objection letter which means they are ok with the U.S. to remove the 2 years condition. I don't know If this answer your question.
