5 yrs from when you received permanent GC.

You have to keep residency in the US to not loose you permanent residency status.

Then add the time for the process to be approved.

What prof do you have?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

First thing first:- Just file I-130. I am afraid Service Center will not approve your I-130. They will forward your I-130 to Local office for stand alone I-130 interview.

Usually it takes 12 months to get interview for stand alone I-130 @ your local office. Local offices don't publish the processing time for these forms, Only lawyer has access to those dates. Well, after the case has been transferred from Service Center. So you are looking at around 18 months ( 5 months @ Service Center plus 12-13 months @ local office) till your I-130 gets approved. At your interview, be ready to tell about your previous and current relationship. After they approve your I-130 that's another 8 to 10 months..

So if you file Tomorrow, You are looking @ around 2.5 to 3 years till your wife is here..

Thanks,

GoodLuck
