Hi,

Mine was an arranged marriage happened good faith. It was arranged by some common relatives.

My husband's Aunt talk to my parents about the marriage. She lied to everyone that, he owned a gas station and he maintains that - which is not at all true, his date of birth, his education...everything is wrong. She simply cheated us.

After 18 months I got the CR-1 visa and came to USA (he said that, he delayed the Visa Process intentionally). As soon as I came here, My husband's Uncle got to know that I'm good with computers, and he offered me a temporary job in his office.

Since last 8 Months I lived with my husband in USA, and was harassed (he always doubted me, talking nonsense about me, and my family, never ever respects me) by him. He always watch the Porn Videos, eating some dirty stuff(i don't know the name of that - but it causes mouth cancer), and he got problems with everybody. When I tell him to be a good man, he starts arguing, so rude and mean to me.He created stories about me like I'm spending lot of money, not cooking, not cleaning, not giving any respect for him, not co-operating in Sex and too many other stories. They believed everything. His Aunt (who lied about him before marriage) came into picture and started abusing, and threatening me. She was so mean to me. I told her to come and stay with us for a while, and also asked her to check the bank accounts which can help her to know who is spending the money. She knows about everything about him, but she is not accepting the truth. I felt like committing suicide.

His financial status is not good, and all his family initially wanted me to get an IT job where ever I can. I tried, got the job, and moved to other state in July. The country is new for me, and the place is completely new for me, but he doesn't have any concern, never even call . When I call him, he says he don't have time to talk, and he got so much to do and all.... Now he was spreading rumors that I used him for green card and ran away after getting the job.

Until last month I never shared this with my family, bcoz I tried to keep my marriage, and also if I tell them they might be worried and think about me every minute, So now I told my family about all these problems. I am unable to take a decision whether to stand and fight or just go back to India. Thinking sometimes like I left my job and wasted almost 2.5 years for him, and now why should I go back. The other thing is he always think like no one touch him being a USC, and thinks his Aunt can help him for everything.

Can someone suggest me what I can do... I am currently on CR-1 visa which is valid till next year August. The only proofs I have is the joint account statements, and apartment lease document. As I said, I worked in his Uncle's office for 8 months. All the employees knows us, and we were known to many Hindu Community people. And I've the his voice messages (very abusive). Is it going to be the proof if I want to apply for Conditions removal.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Divorce him (you do not need his approval/consent in the US), gather your evidence, and submit a divorce waiver for your ROC now or within the 90-day before your conditional GC expires. You do not have to take any abuse and you are entitled to your permanent residency/10-yr green card. When you get the final divorce decree, you will send it in, Depending on how long it you to divorce in your state, you may be able to provide the decree before USCIS sends you an RFE (request for evidence) asking for it.

Good luck and get out!

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I don't have any proofs and I just had my story to explain. And any idea how much does that going to cost me approximately for Divorce and ROC? I just started and no money right now with me :(

Hi, I'm so sorry to tell you that it was my story only, unfortunately I lost the credentials of that account, so I opened a new account

At that point of time I was in a kind of depression and about to join in the new job, so I didn't checked-In for some time.

My apologies for the dup.

There's a reset password option. You aren't allowed duplicate accounts.

you're in IT and couldn't reset a pw or access an email address?

So you lied in the other thread when you said this "I have all the evidences to prove my marriage is genuine"? Am I misinterpreting this?

The advice you are getting is the same as before so why post at all?

For the record:

1. As someone in IT, you should be familiar with resetting passwords.

2. You signed out of the first account (1:55AM) AFTER creating the 2nd one (1:38AM). So you are not be truthful about that. Something is very off here.

For the record:

Hi,

I read in some posts that proofs like...Tax returns, joint Insurance policies, joint properties, etc... are needed as the proof. For that I told I just have two things only i.e joint bank account, and apartment lease docs.

But coming to the marriage..my wedding happened in the presence of 450-500 members, I have the marriage invitations, and the pictures of both the families.

Surprisingly I don't understand how my old account is logged in, I seriously don't know about it.

Your wedding pictures helped you to get the CR1 visa.

But you need proof of Bona fide marriage After you entered US.

Did you file taxes as married, can be married filing jointly or separately.
