Hi,

My husband's interview is on Oct 31 at 7 am. I saw that online the office opens at 8 am. Does anyone know the timings of the US embassy in islamabad? I am a little worried. I will call tomorrow to find out as well.

Thanks

They do open about 8:00 BUT you have to arrive at the "embassy compound" no later than 7:00 if you actually want to get to the US Embassy by 8:00! When you arrive at the front gate, you wait in line outside to be let in to the desks where you line up for specific shuttle buses. They give you a ticket and you wait for the bus. The bus may have other stops as well. We arrived at 6:15 and got to the embassy about 7:45. Don't worry - they tell everybody 7:00 and they all get there about the same time.

Sorry....should have made that a little more clear. They give everybody the same "appointment time" of 7:00 am. They open the main gate at 6:30 to enter the shuttle area. They start handing out shuttle tickets about 7:00. Everyone gets on the same bus and when you get to the embassy, you get a number. They call you up according to that number. So no one actually has an "appointment time".

Thank you so much for clarification. I was wondering why this 7 am time.

My interview was at 7:00 am too. I was (like many other) there at the embassy at 6:45 am sharp. There is a long line there. So being early is better than being late. All the best.

Thanks. We do plan to get there early.
