Clarification for I-134 co-sponor?

Hi!

I just received an approval of my I-129F petition to allow my Canadian fiancee to apply for a K1 Visa, and I'm looking forward to getting further along in the process. I understand that as of now I should be sending her a copy of my I-129F packet and supporting documents, and I should start looking at the Affidavit of support to send as well.

So here's my current situation. I understand that my fiancee's income and assets are irrelevant here. I myself am a student, and plan to look for work upon graduating this summer (right before getting married). My plan has been to have my father cosponsor us, which he's willing to do. So, I have two questions here:

1. Just to make sure I understand, I'll still need to fill out the I-134 myself, and just leave most of it blank, correct? Then I'll get my dad to fill out the same form, and I'll end up sending my fiancee two versions of the form. I think this is the idea but I wanted to be sure; I don't want to miss some kind of special "co-sponsor" form.

2. My father has a decent amount in savings and in assets, but was recently laid off and is currently on unemployment. So long as he can show in his bank statements and tax returns that he is well above the poverty line, the consulate is unlikely to reject the affidavit just because he's not currently receiving a steady salary, correct? I imagine this won't be a problem, but again I figured it couldn't hurt to ask before starting.

Thank you! This process is nerve-wracking, but I'm feeling elated at getting to this milestone!
