Trump on Clinton's guards: 'Take their guns away, see what happens to her'

Hillary says things like we "don't need weapons of war on our streets", and "Too many families in America have sufferedand continue to sufferfrom gun violence. Its the leading cause of death among young African American menmore than the following nine causes combined. America cannot go on like this." (See my comments below)

But here's some facts, Jack:

"It's a chilling reality one often overlooked in annual mortality statistics: Preventable medical errors persist as the No. 3 killer in the U.S. third only to heart disease and cancer claiming the lives of some 400,000 people each year. At a Senate hearing Thursday, patient safety officials put their best ideas forward on how to solve the crisis, with IT often at the center of discussions.

Hearing members, who spoke before the Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging, not only underscored the devastating loss of human life more than 1,000 people each day but also called attention to the fact that these medical errors cost the nation a colossal $1 trillion each year.

"The tragedy that we're talking about here (is) deaths taking place that should not be taking place," said subcommittee Chair Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in his opening remarks."

My comments below: Now, I could not find any stats on the percentage of blacks vs. whites about this, not sure if it's actually documented, but even if you assume that only 5% are black (and I believe that is EXTREMELY conservative), that's 50 blacks killed every day by malpractice. Therefore, guns are NOT the leading cause of black deaths in the USA today.

It's very simple to tell the Trump supporters from the Hillary supporters. The Trump supporters sign the checks on the front. The Hillary supporters sign them on the back.

This is a worse generalization than Hillarys baskets of deplorables

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

Just some food for thought.

From 15 to 34, homicide is the leading cause of death for black men. Murder doesn't even get to 10% in your category. We have babies that have to worry about getting killed. Malpractice isn't murder, unless you can produce evidence that shows doctors high fiving each other after a black person dies on the OT. Or email trails that show doctors are deliberately trying to kill us. This is evident in police departments.

I know you guys want to keep your guns, but this merry go round of blaming everything except the root cause has got to stop.

Maybe the police? Since you've just admitted that guns aren't killing black young men.

Or as you phrased it, what is the "root cause" behind all these deaths?

What's so funny is, you're trying your best to twist this because you don't want your guns taken away. You can't have it both ways.

Just some friendly advice. Since this forum is going to be lacking black members(pretty sure there's only 2, maybe three here at most) maybe you shouldn't bring up black issues in a place that 98% white. Especially since it's usually in a negative light to being with. If you want to bridge that gap, learn about the subject matter. Educate yourself before speaking, that's half the battle. Empathy also helps. Because it's going to be suspect when you or other members obsessed with BLM are talking in a space devoid of anyone even related to black people and our issues.

Every forum needs a black member.

Would not be a safe space otherwise.

PS Just because someone is not black, or African, I get confused, does not mean they are white.

1) Well, in 2015, cops killed about twice as many whites as blacks. Now what?

2) I am trying to twist nothing, because having guns is a constitutional right. And guns don't kill, people do. Everyone with half a brain knows this to be fact. I am in no way concerned about losing my guns, for I have never done anything to warrant me losing them.

3) I postulated a 10% number. Probably way off base. In fact, though you threw out some stats about what kills black males the most, truth is, the TOP FIFTEEN leading causes of death in the US since probably forever, and for sure in the past 10 years, do not involve homicide. Google it if you don't believe me. I have no idea where homicide comes into play, number-wise, because it is insignificant enough so as NOT to be a stat on the CDC site.

I may not be black, but I also am not blind. I have enough black friends to know that there are issues that still need to be overcome. But they also don't spend their days complaining about WP. They have worked hard to overcome, to get where they are. And I DO empathize with their struggles. Just because I think blm is a group of folks who could do MUCH better to further the cause of equality does not mean I think all blm members are bad. Only a small percentage (the ones portrayed in the media, shocker?) are hurting what the root cause is.

If you don't want me to discuss black issues here, then don't bring them up. Or do, if they are current and hot. But don't expect everyone to sit back and feel sorry for you because you're black and have it rough. I didn't have slaves, and you didn't pick cotton. That was before, we are now. You had one career and now a retirement, you are working on a second government retirement. Do you really expect anyone to feel sorry for you? You are far and above SO many in the US today, both black AND white. Be proud of who you have become, but don't try to make people feel bad for those who don't succeed as you have.

If you'd prefer to keep our discussions private via PM, we can do that. But I will call BS on you when I think it is BS. I will agree with you when I think you are right. And I will ALWAYS read what you say, and do my best to see your side of it. Sometimes, the written word comes across wrong. There is no feeling, or at the very least, it is easy to misinterpret the feelings and meaning of such.

And before you try to twist my words, I think that ANY killing of ANY innocent person is wrong. If a bad cop kills someone, whether they are a black or white cop or black or white victim, I think said cop should go to jail. I'll even go so far as to say be put to death. An eye for an eye, eh? Kill a bad cop, and he/she will never kill another innocent. And yet, we have this due process thing to worry about, so as not to violate individual rights. Still and all, I think bad cops need to be prosecuted. Your boy Michael Brown was a thug. Got what he deserved. Charles Kinsey, he got a raw deal. And I HOPE he wins his lawsuit against the cop who shot him.

Bring your stats. I know you are taking the class now. But be forewarned, I have taken that class 3 times. And I am good at math. Numbers can be twisted in SO many ways. But at the end of the day, none of those "stats" matter. What matters is... What difference can you and I make so that our grandchildren can live better lives?

Maybe the police? Since you've just admitted that guns aren't killing black young men.

Here's a homework assignment you may not want to accept, but I challenge you to find out and post here:

1) How many blacks died in 2015?

2) How many were killed by police? (Too easy, I already gave you this answer)

A) How many were innocent victims?

B) How many were "clean" kills, as in justified homicide?

3) How many were killed by guns?

Maybe the police? Since you've just admitted that guns aren't killing black young men.

Not sure what the obsession with skin color is in this forum.

Almost every thread ends with statistics on African Americans. Surely there must be something else to talk about

than this same old same old ?

Furthermore it is not up to anyone else to decide what a black person, an African American, a person of color or a brown person chooses to identify

with. It is personal choice and bullying, mocking or claiming to know everything better than those who actually are black/brown/pink

or purple is not conducive to any discussion on ethnicity and race relations improvement.

Marvin is a great person and I am sad that he chose to close his account but had I been in his shoes I would have burnt out of here a long time ago.

It is that ridiculous of a continuous baiting style from the same members here.
