Hello y'all

This may seem obvious but just want to make sure I do the correct thing. When creating the barcode using the shortcuts, I am assuming that I include the first 3 letters and the numbers of the NVC case number. Is this correct. Sorry if this has been asked already. :unsure:

Yes, that is correct. You need the frist 3 letters and the 10digit number.. no space inbetween.

01/08/07 - IV Fee Bill sent next day delivery to St. Louis by USPS

01/12/07 - ASO Application received (snail mail)

01/13/07 - ASO I864-EZ application sent to NVC priority mail (3 day delivery)

01/15/07 - DS230 Generated

01/18/07 - DS230 sent to NVC - overnight delivery by USPS

01/26/07 - DS230 finally received 11 days after it was generated.. can anyone say snail mail..

02/20/07 - CASE COMPLETE AT NVC

02/28/07 - Case left NVC

03/03/07 - Case received at Mumbai Embassy

05/22/07 - Medical Interview Breach Candy Mumbai

05/24/07 - Interview date at Mumbai consulate - APPROVED!

06/02/07 - Mumbai - Paris - Atlanta - Charlotte. Departs June 1st 4.45am EST Arrives June 2nd 4.12pm EST

07/10/07 - Received Conditional Greencard. Still waiting on the SSN

The three letters are specific to the EMBASSY that will get the case much like the three letter system used to identify airports throughout the world. The next four numbers refer to the YEAR that the case number was assigned by NVC.

The rest of the numbers are specific to your case. The ENTIRE "code" makes up the I.D. of your CASE.

After following the instructions there is a "button" AT THE TOP LEFT that says "Create Barcode"; you have to mouse click on this in order to generate the barcode which will appear in a separate window.

I tried creating Barcode

2/22/07 - Check has been deposited, now I can track!

2/23/07 - NOA1 Received via snail mail

3/9/07 - NOA2 via email!

3/19/07 - Called NVC, case sent to embassy on 3/15/07

4/19/07 - DS230 submitted to embassy

4/30/07 - Email from embassy: Interview scheduled for 6/19/07!

5/30/07 - Medical

6/19/07 - Interview!!! - Approved!!!

7/6/07 - VISA delivered!!!

7/21/07 - Fiance arrives

AOS

11/30/07 - Mailed packet Priority w/signature

12/2/07 - Received in Chicago

12/7/07 - Check cashed

12/10/07 - Received 3 NOA1s via snail mail

12/27/07 - RFE - Tax returns

12/27/07 - RFE returned

The short cuts can only be used by people going through CR/IR1 process. K1/K3 applicants would not use it.
