Hello All! Just for the data points i invite those with IR/CR1 & K1 visa backgrounds to share your I751 filing date and approval dates (with or without REF) so that we can see if there is any difference in i751 approval timings based on our visa types , because i feel K1 has many more steps and encounters with USCIS in their journey than IR/CR1 visa types, thus has more papertrail with USCIS making it a possible factor for possible faster i751 approvals? i could be wrong here(and want to be wrong here ! because i am from IRC/CR1 visa background, lol ). In anycase It will be a good research to find outif there is any difference between those with K1 visa and those with IR/CR1 visa backgrounds for their i751 approval timings. it seems to me that i see a lot K1 visa background cases here on VJ , with their i751 approvals (faster?) , i would like to know people with IR/CR1 visa backgrounds and their wait period before ROC approval .Thanks!!!

Please forgive me if this feels silly , i myself i am from IR/CR1 visa background and i am genuinely interested in knowing the approval timing of i751 of fellow IR/CR1 VJers.

All this ofcourse is with the understanding that everyone from any visa background have provided USCIS with good evidence with or without REF ofcourse!. please share your visa background, i751filing , ref and approval dates just for the data points! thanks

KCMO,

There is a forum for EACH month of I-751 filings. In each forum, there is a table or a Google spreadsheet that tracks the timing of the I-751 filing, biometric appointment, whether there is an RFE, and an approval date. The time to approval varies with your filing center (California Service Center is WAY ahead of the Vermont Service Ceneter). CURRENTLY, the CSC is around 5-8 months and the VSC is around 10-12 months. There are always exceptions.

To give you a hard example: I am part if the I-751 April 2016 filers forum. There are about 100 of us on VJ who filed last April. Only ONE of us has been approved so far. Last time I looked only TWO of March 2016 filers had been approved.

Therefore, I suggest you look at the tables for each month to get an idea of how fast (or slow, usually) things are moving. There will be discussions in each forum as to RFEs, etc.

I would suggest you join the forum for your filing month, but also read the two months prior to your month to see what is happening.

I'm K-1 and my journey has been long. I speculated that K-1 might have a higher chance for interview because we never had an AOS interview but not sure...
