hi

the joint sponsor fills out the same things as the sponsor does

only difference, is marking that he or she is the only joint sponsor, and their personal information, plus filling in their personal taxes

the rest is the same as the sponsor

the petitioner as the primary sponsor fills out the i864 and the other person fills out another i864 as the only joint sponsor

the questions are self explanatory and it has instructions

Yes. you do not each fill in parts of the same form- you as the primary sponsor/ petitioner fills in one, and the co=sponsor fills in their own.

correct

one fills out an i864 as sponsor, the other one fills out a separate i864 as the joint sponsor

the joint sponsor fills out his or her affidavit of support and the sponsor fills out theirs, and the joint sponsor will send you the affidavit of support, taxes and all other supporting financial evidence, plus proof of citizenship or being a legal resident, and you will send everything together with your i864 and supporting evidence
