Hi!

My fiancé in America will soon send in our application for my K1 visa, he say that the I134 is not needed but I kind a want him to send it in anyway to be on the safe side.

I know that my name will be on section 3 but what do we write on section 10?

It says different everywhere online about this. Some say that my name should be on there and that the date we send the application in should be written under submitted, some say it should be the date we received noa1, but obviously we haven't got that yet...

You will take the i-134 to London to your interview so your fiancé will mail it to you, nowhere else. I left #10 blank because the point of it is to find out if he has already promised support to other immigrants besides the one he has named in #3. They want to know if he is on the hook for others. It won't hurt to list you name there again and the date he submitted the petition. I consider that to be the date he dropped it in the mailbox. However don't fret over the date. Nobody will care. This is easier than you think, especially a London interview.

Adding additional to my post above--

Based on a couple of posts you've made, maybe a brief explanation of the parts of the process would help you get the big picture.

THE PETITION

Is not applying for a visa. It is asking USCIS (part of Homeland Security) to allow the American to bring a fiancé over to marry. He must prove things like he's a US citizen, has met you in person, is free to marry (i.e. legally divorced if previously married) and that you both agree to marry within 90 days of entry. Approval (NOA2) means permission is granted and you may apply for a visa at your local consulate. USCIS is done with your case now and hands off your file to the Department of State.

NVC

The handoff place. You get a new Dept of State case number and they send the file to the consulate.

THE CONSULATE (aka Embassy)

This is under Dept of State, a totally different part of the government.

It's all about you now. Your visa application.

Your birth certificate. Your police report(s). Your passport. Your medical exam.

Your interview. The only thing needed from your American fiancé is his affidavit of support.

Nick, thanks again, I'll only follow the guidelines from now and ignore what others say.
