How long should this take?

So I attended my visa interview at the Sydney consulate on the 30th August. Everything went smooth on the day. As my medical was only the day before, the consulate didn't have it have it yet, and I was told "my visa will be issued pending the medical report" so in my mind that means all the paperwork I gave you today was sufficient (you made me wait awhile while you checked it, and asked no other questions)

1 week later the consulate sends me an email request - "We have received your medical report. However, we are unable to finalize your applications until we receive a letter from your fiancé to revalidate your petition" - This was provided to them on the day! (did they lose my paperwork??)

Luckily they accepted a scan of the letter and we were able to have that back to them in the hour. I received a confirmation that they received the letter the next day, and would let me know if it has been denied within 5 days. (If accepted, I will hear nothing)

So 5 business days pass and I hear nothing, and nothing is good news in this case. My case status is updated on the CEAC website on the 5th day, however it still says Administrative Processing.

Has anyone else had experiences with having to send in information after the interview, and the delay times because of it?

1 week later and still no changes to the status on CEAC and no email regarding issuing..

I'm really frustrated at my passport being held longer with no indication of when I'll get it back, I have missed a family trip to Bali and possibly missing an upcoming work trip as well. Is it possible to at least request your passport back?

It baffles me that some can have theirs processed and returned within the week of their interview. Mine was fairly straight forward, aside from medical report arriving 2 days later and having to resend a letter they already had (and maybe lost) why should this cause weeks of extra waiting?

I said the same this people got next days...I was distraught couldn't sleep....I called senator I was going crazy. I was afraid reading people in AP years....so I fully understand you plight.

I broke the golden VJ rule bought airfair...because everyone in dr gets few days after approved...people bashe me over it.

I'm a single mom I make ends meet and I bought 3 weeks later the ticket. I had to cancel....me trying to save a little I end up spending more....my Fiancee left his job we were so excited....we had a 2 min interview.....don't do as I did...

Wait for visa in hand. My Fiancee issued yesterday and got yesterday....
