Preparing to send I-130 LOTS OF QUESTIONS

Hi all,

My fiancé and I are getting married next month and we are starting get prepared to file for a CR-1 visa for me (he is the USC)!

Our situation is a little tricky as I am Peruvian and he is a dual citizen of the US and Panama. We are currently both living together in Panama and here is where we will be getting married. We both went to college in the US and moved to Panama soon after graduating.

He is planning on moving back the US after we send the I-130 and get a job and then beginning the recruiting process with the Navy. He has a US drivers licence and a US bank account from when he went to college. Will all of this be enough to prove domicile for him?

Additionally, when we send the I-130 packet, should I include a copy of the previous US visas I have had (diplomatic and student)? I ask this because when we fill out form G-325A for me, the part in which it asks to list previous addresses for the last 5 years, I will be mentioning my Texas address from college. I am just not sure if sending or not sending a copy of previous visas will get us delayed!

Lastly, does anyone know if my interview would be in Panama, where we got married, or in Peru, where I'm a citizen of?

Domicile won't be a problem, as he will be back in the USA and have a job by the time your interview comes around, or maybe even be in the navy; Panama doesn't have DCF so your CR-1 spousal visa process will take close to a year from filing to interview.

No need to make copies of the visas, but you can mention in your cover letter why (and by which visa) you spent so much time in the USA.

You will interview where you are currently living.
