If you are talking about I-130 approval (NOA2), the answer is NO.

Unfortunately...considering that the latest Morocco spousal visas to get interviews scheduled (for interviews in late October) got their NOA2's back in early-mid June, I think you're past the point at which an NOA2 has a chance of arriving this year (without any expedites involved).

I agree, usually takes approx 60-80 days to go to the interview after the approval so seeing Casablanca Igor list, you can get your noa 2 around november, so that will send you interview for the 1st trimester of 2017.

My NoA 2 I got it on january 19, 2012 and my interview was set for april 3rd, 2012. so it took little over 70 days. I know plenty couples who applied mid this year are hoping to have their significant ones by the holidays, but reality is, it will take a little longer than that. I bet you must be counting everyday but think that every day that goes by, is a day closer to be together.

That single thought was what it kept me going while I was waiting for my visa. Actually on september 19 it will be 5 years since we filed. In a blink of an eye, you will be picking up your significant one at the airport the wait is hard but totally worth it. The best of lucks

It takes 3-4 months to get an interview and most experience some months of AP time at your embassy, so no not by Christmas.

The NVC phase is taking very long currently too. Plan on late spring or summer and be pleasantly surprised if it happens earlier.

Ok, I was really hoping that if we were on top of things this process would go faster, but it looks like no matter how fast we do things on our end, we'll still be at the mercy of government workers =(

I think an I-130 approval in the next few weeks is unlikely with a Nebraska NOA1 date of May 23. There are people from early April still waiting. And that's without RFEs.

The only part you'll really have control over from here to the interview is the NVC portion and you can fly through submitting the fees and docs within a week, if you're prepared. But despite that, the rest of it, before and after NVC, is A LOT of waiting. It can even take more than a month between NOA2 and NVC receiving your case. It totally sucks!

If you don't have NOA 2 yet no way to be here by Christmas

you are looking at a year from filing to get to the interview if all goes good

When you get to NVC stage, you will have to get from him the criminal investigation reports (2) from Morocco and do the 2 forms after paying the fees

After NVC gets your documents, they will send a notice saying any of the following

allow 30 days to process forms

allow 30 business days for processing

allow 60 days to process forms

expect him to interview next year about May ( a year from filing)
