I-864 assets - how recent

Hi

Does anyone know if assets are being used to support the I-864, how recent do they need to be? Thinking specifically about savings/bank statements, for example if I file in October is it acceptable to have a year's worth of bank statements that go up until August two months earlier? Or would they want to see it going right up until the date of submission of I-864 (or as close as possible)

Thanks

Ben

It would seem odd to stop in August if you had one more recent at the time of preparing and signing your I-864. Is there a reason September won't be available to you in October?

Do you really need to send 12 months?

Cash in the bank is a highly liquid asset and can be withdrawn in a heartbeat. You should provide the most recent bank statements available. Is there a reason you don't want to provide the most recent statement?

Thanks both for your replies - was just wondering if I could get away with ones I've already printed out and also have the I-864 mostly filled out early to send it off straight away when I get there, but nothing more sinister than that :) Sounds like it's best to have the most up to date so will do that

Thanks
