Has anyone ever gotten pizza in Lagos, Nigeria? What about a good ole American burger? What about anything processsed and chemically altered...you know good American food. :D Last time I was there I ordered a chicken burger from Mr. Biggs and that thing was not good :girlwerewolf2xn: To think of it I never saw a McDonald's...Hahaha!!! Also, no drive thru, no pizza or chinese delivery drivers, & no one eating/drinking on the streets on their way to anywhere(except for the chickens, goats, sheeps, cows). However, people will sell you food on the street. Aren't they aggressive sales men? They put it up in your face!!! :bonk:

Just wondering what people ate when abroad especially if you are picky like me :P NAIJA gotta love that place!

You know, the only thing I ate the whole time I was there was chicken and rice at the Tantalizer. I could hardly wait to get back home and get a chesseburger and some fries.

you guys are all making me feel so much better! i have been feeling so guilty for not loving nigerian food..... i just am not a big fan of meat or fish or snails.... the food is so heavy--even the stuff i like i can only eat a little bit of it.

but the fruit and veggies over there are awesome though....so fresh and yummy. and the bread too---so sweet!

I got pizza at Sweet Sensations (i think), it was ok, loaded with olives (yuck) but u can pick them off. You can get hot dogs at lots of places but it's not like home. I am picky, the first two times I just had no appetite or got donuts at Mr. Biggs. My advice, eat lots of indo mie (it's the same as Top Raman), bring crackers, cup of soup, even a box of pasta can be helpful. I'm fussy about chinese food in america, i wouldn't even think of having it in nigeria .. msg regulations??? don't think so! They do put it in your face omg lol. Oh you know what's not too bad.. Chicken Republic.. funny name but the food is pretty good. Good luck!

Hi! No there wasn't a Macdonalds . I did see a Chinese restaurant . :  I wanted to ask you for your help. I'm still waiting. Please look at my timeline, it has been long. Can you tell me what you did when you sent in your petition/ :help:

If your timeline is up to date and you really haven't gotten an NOA2, you should try to contact VSC and see if they can give you any info. Seems to me that 4+ months at VCS is really long. If it goes too much longer, the US Citizen can contact a senator and request that they make an inquiry.

I have an appointment with the Congressman office and USCIS on 5/7/07 . So please wish me luck. Maybe this will help everything move swifter.

Oh, there is a wonderful pizza place near the airport! I forget the name, but my love made a couple trips there for me when I was really needing some. I can't eat any parts of meat that I don't recognize!!! Most dishes are way too spicy for me, and chicken and rice gets old after awhile!!!

I ate ALOT of fried turkey. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. Everything was new or in a sauce....LOL....uhhhhh not eating all that stuff buried under the sauce. I did try pounded yam, not bad, and as long as the stew was primarily turkey it was all good. I tried their fast food but event he rice was spicy.

Visiting the markets ALMOST made me a vegetarian. I like my meat processed, and wrapped...lol. I did see a few things that turned my head. I had gotten a real craving for bacon, and my husband and I decided to go and get some, well.......let's just say seeing porky pig on a slab in mid-day wasn't a nice site. They asked me which part did I want, I just pointed and turned my head. I gave it all away, I didnt even eat it, I felt soooo bad for that pig.

I went at least a week without asking for anything else out of the way.

St. Elmos brick oven pizzeria is in Opebi, Ikeja-Lagos. Their pizza is great! Hate to admit it, but it was actually better than any that I have ate here in the states. This complex also has a fried chicken restaurant, ice cream bar, and bakery.
