ever since i moved to the boonies, streaming is no longer an option.

my favorite thus far has to be freakshow, because of the clown thing. i'm one of those weirdos who is actually afraid of clowns irl. also, jessica sang some lana del rey. made me pretty happy.

verizon, service is good but i am used to streaming everything (no cable) and using crazy tons of unlimted internet with comcast. comcast doesnt provide in my new 'town' soo..i'm now limited to 24 expensive gb (doesn't go too far between three people, one being 14) and paying direct tv an obscene amount of money for a channel lineup comprised mostly of infomercials and overpriced ppv.

Dudette, get rid of the satellite. Wicked expensive, and as you pointed out, mostly a waste. We are with T-mobile now, but about to make the switch to Verizon because I hear they have better reception. I hope so. We get 6GB per month per phone now, but a shared bucket with Verizon. 3 lines = 18GB. Thinking about buying a fake 4th line just to get the additional 4+2GB (if we need it). Cheaper than the $15 for 1GB overages that Verizon charges.

i'd love to get rid of satellite but I've got one more year on this dumb contract. I had t mobile before, but i live in a valley and you've got to hit a sweet spot to get coverage with t-mobile or sprint or att&t. none of them got a good signal out here. i looked into satellite internet too, thank goodness they couldn't get a signal, cause satellite internet seems a fresher hell.

and verizon doesn't automatically charge 15 bucks a gb anymore, they let you stay 3g instead, which is awesome..i was averaging 3-4gb over a month. my butt is still sore.

Ahhh, the lovely contract. Gotcha. Yeah, you don't want satellite internet. Believe me. Unless you just want to check email. Once upon a time, I had a dual-dish setup, they were 6' in diameter, and had the fastest plan offered by the ISP. I think the bill was $2499 per month. And streaming? Skype? Fuggedaboutit. It worked, but was pixelated, and calls dropped all the time. Too much latency with satellite internet systems. I mean, if it's all you have, it is what it is. But IMHO, it sucked.
