I just spoke to uscis customer service about my case. 

I filled on 9.15.16 and don’t have Interview yet, and the website is showing currently they work on 9.28.16 applications and maybe even October.

The officer wasn’t rude, but bottom line was to continue waiting, and that the biometrics are clean, and all I have left is to wait for an interview slot to be clear in Dallas Office.

Hi, I hope you are doing well. Well I came across another way of reaching out to USCIS through another department which is independent of USCIS. Its called Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman and the form you need to fill out is Case Assistance (DHS-7001) and here is the link  https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx. 

 

Prior to filling out the form, my case was still at NBC (National Benefits Center). After filling out the form(and it could be a coincidence), my case got transferred to Dallas Field Office.

 

I got an email from Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman saying that they have contacted USCIS regarding my case. 

 

So this might be another way to expedite our N-400 applications.

 

Anymore updates Dallas Peeps?

Thanks for the info, I just filled out the form and sent it to the ombudsman. Hope will help...

I also got in contact with an attorney company from Dallas. They said will help by contacting uscis and ask for information about my case. Their fee to do that is $500, and now I asked them what exactly to expect??? Here’s what I got in return: “we follow up your case with USCIS via email (which only Attorney can do) until USCIS acts on your case.” 

I am not sure what exactly they will do, but I think will try.

Please DO NOT pay them any money to do exactly the same thing that you are doing. I would suggest that you go directly to the office of Senator John Cornyn and go talk to his assistant, they're in North Dallas, 5001 Spring Valley RD, #1125E, Dallas, TX.

We did and and they sent a letter to USCIS.

Also, we are a 2016 December filers and another person in my group just got schedule his interview.

Hi Guys

Finally some good news from me. As posted earlier, my PD is Aug 2016 , I went for interview in Mar 2017 (passed the test) and was told my name check had to be done again. I waited and waited and finally i was scheduled for another interview in Jan 2018. The interview was a formality and the officer even apologized to me . He gave me my oath ceremony notice then and there

 

My lessons learned

On the local office has any info about you . You will get wrong info from the UCSIS call center and even level 2 officers. Service Request is a waste of time . Only Infopass helps

Ombudsman office helps a lot. I think its they who pushed by name check to be completed

It takes about 12 months for FBI name check to be completed if they have to do it again(due to it being low priority)

AA100, I just checked the Dallas Field Office processing times, and it says that they're working on cases filed by October 14, 2016, which means that you're past your priority date.

Like we did, you should contact the office of Senator Cornyn at his Dallas office, and ask them to check for you. (By the way, those processing times are a joke, my wife is a 2016 December filer and already had her interview on March 1st).
