Hello, I am from Dallas with PD 9/19/16 I had a false interview notice, few weeks after I received cancellation notice. Now, I am waiting for next one. Dallas office is moving very slow, I can't believe it's already July and no one from this forum is having Interview yet.

Hey Dallas Filers!

 

USCIS received my file on 09/23/2017.I got my Finger Prints done on the 10/19/2016 and since then I have not heard from them. Dallas Office is extremely slow at the moment. I suspect we wont hear from them before sep/oct this year.

Interview 4-26-17 pass civil test, decision could not be made.

6/26/2017 email status change: Request for initial evidence RIE sent.

7/5/17 Letter RIE receive by mail:

 
On June 26, 2017, we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC************. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for evidence by July 26, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
 
7/7/7 RIE sent.
 
I called  and spoke to L2 officer says they are still waiting for name checks (background FBI) to come back.
My opinion RIE is the same document i sent with app and with me to interview certified disposition from an arrest in 2011(dismiss) in other words they are asking for the same document they already have to give then time for FBI FP to clear.
 
Newark NJ.
 
Anybody else has the same problem? comment, suggestions welcome.

My case status just changed from Fingerprint scheduled to Case inline for Interview. I sent my file to Dallas office and my field office is Jacksonville, FL.

The interview has just been scheduled. Waiting for the official notice in the mail. 

 

My spouse submitted the application together with me, but she received her US passport a couple weeks ago. Way ahead of me!

Finally, after FingerPrint date of 10/21/2016, Interview was scheduled as of yesterday. 

 

"On July 13, 2017, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400" 

 

Those of you who applied last year (2016) and still awaiting for interview date really doesn't need to be panic. Based on system changes last year, given my last name is bit longer and quite a few folks stuck in background check based Oct fingerprint date - I was hopeful for things to fall in place at the right time. I did consider reaching out senator after 1 year of filing date but it wasn't a pressing need. If my previous data crunching is accurate about 15% applications were delayed (or slow to process) due to unidentified issue with the system and/or manual review.

 

Good luck to 2016 batch, Your American dream is only a few steps away. :thumbs:

Dallas filers, there's hope!  Just got the text this morning that my interview has been scheduled.  Dallas FO PD 8/15.  Posting on this thread b/c I know several of you Sept Dallas filers have been waiting a long time, so wanted to pass on the news.  Don't have the letter yet, but it looks like Dallas interviews are finally moving.  Hope all you other Dallas filers hear soon!

Interview: Date of your interview
Oath: Date Oath taken
Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview
