Thanks! In my case, neither of us were married prior to our current marriage and we don't have any kids from any other relationships so we had no prior alimony or child support to worry about. She asked the question and I said "No" and we moved on from there. I would imagine though if that was the case, it would be a good idea to have evidence or documentation of any of those. If you are thinking whether you should or should not take something as evidence - take it anyway. It's better to have it than not.

Last time my letter took 9 days from the day they say they mailed it to me actually receiving it, so hopefully I will get my letter by latest next Friday (May 5).

Congratulations to you!  I agree on taking evidence. 

 

When my husband interviewed he passed everything, but unfortunately he is paying on some IRS taxes.  Even though the proof he was paying was sent with the original N400, they wanted something more up to date.  Which thank goodness I had with me (I was out in the waiting room during the interview).  When he came out he told me about it, and that they would be sending a letter asking for up to date info. So we handed in right then what I had brought with me, and the next letter he received was his Oath date instead of a letter requesting more information, which would have delayed the Oath.

 

So it does pay to take evidence information.

Hello everyone.

So,finally..... I received the oath ceremony letter . It'll be for 05/24/2017. It took almost 8 months 

I'm sharing my timeline in hope that it'll help (& plz if someone can update it.thx) :

-I'm from Alexandria,va. Sent my N400 the Louisville,Texas office.

-09/29/2016 N400 package sent

-10/04/2016 checks cashed

-10/21/2016 finger print done

-11/15/2016 in line for interview

-02/28/2017 interview letter received 

interview scheduled for 04/04/2017 @ the fairfax uscis office

-04/04/2017 interview . 

(Very fast & easy.everything went smooth & I was recommended for approval)

-04/28/2017 received an email that my oath ceremony was scheduled & that I'll receive the letter by mail)

-05/01/2017 (today) received the letter & my ceremony will be held on 05/24/2017 @ the uscis office in manassas.

I had my oath ceremony today at uscis Fairfax office..it was pretty quick..we had about 50 applicants and it only took an hour and we were done..so exited to be a us citizen finally..good luck to anyone still waiting.

No update since last Monday, it just says:

If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

 

So I don't know if that means it hasn't even been mailed yet! But I'm really hoping it arrives by Saturday. Still keeping fingers crossed.

My status went from inline for oath ceremony( just like yours above) and a week later it changed to oath ceremony notice was mailed before I received my letter.

You are in DC right. I know someone taking their oath in the court there too.. she received her oath letter around April 10th for the oath in may in DC..I hope u get positive news soon too.

 How long from NOA to Oath?  I am also through the Fairfax office.

Yeah, I realize that at this point it might end up being in June. 

 

Oh well! I'll just hang in there ...
